  • Which vaccinations do I need for I-485?

Yes, I know the doctor should know, but I want to be prepared.

I'm found some resources from CDC instructions to Civil Surgeons: https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugee...tructions.html

I'm age 32. Under the table for "Vaccines Requirements According to Applicant Age"

It stats that only Td/Tdap, MMR, Varicella and Influenza (if flu season) is required.

Does that mean I don't need the rest of the vaccinations?

It depends on your medical and travel history. There may be more. Take your record of immunization with you or, if you want to be pro-active, you can have titers done before the exam and take those with you.
      Not legal advice.

The Civil Surgeon my husband used did blood work first to check his antibodies. He needed the Flu shot, Tet****, and Chicken Pox.

I don't know if you have any form of health insurance, but you do not need to have the civil surgeon administer any vaccinations that you need. I personally had health insurance and had my doctor administer all the vaccinations and give me a record of them which I gave to the civil surgeons office that performed my medical for AOS. They then recorded the vaccination information onto the medical form. The cost of all the vaccinations from my doctor was $0 and he did them as part of a regular appointment I already had scheduled. Just an FYI.

I did this recently. They checked if I was vaccinated from Chicken Pox, MMR, TB, TDaP and flu shot. Eventually I needed only the last one. I would strongly suggest you to get the recond of your previous vaccinations you did in you country, I requested the record from Italy and I saved a lot of time and money. Keep in mind that some vaccinations like TDaP might take up to 1 year since there are several shots.

My husband has health insurance so he is going to try do minimize cost and do the same. Any other tests he should do with his doc rather than the USCIS civil surgeon?
