Hey Team, sending off my RFIE back today for the i864. Below is what I'm sending back just confirming you all think this will suffice? We met the 125% above poverty guidelines the only issue is as my wife is a teacher we can only provide 5 and a half months of payslips (they request 6) Ive explained why in the cover letter along with all that other evidence so should be ok.

bear in mind that I was not able to read the image of the RFIE you posted. I am guessing USCIS requested paystubs from past 6 months. If you do not have 6 full months but only 5 1/2 months worth, then you did the right thing by obtaining a letter of from her employer. Hopefully, that letter states her expected annualized salary.
It's hard to answer without knowing what else they said. You should be good to go, though. It looks like you are submitting more than they would need. All you need is your most recent federal tax return to be above the 125% poverty guideline for your household size. If it's cutting it close, then sure, you probably want to add previous tax returns.
You can always wait a week or two for her to get her 2017 W-2, file a joint return and send that in as evidence. (Don't know if that is possible in your situation).
Best of luck!
