Question regarding changing job on EAD

Hi,
i am currently working on EAD ,waiting for my I-485 approval (priority date in dec-2002). it has been almost 2 years since i filed my i485 in EB3 category.my labor & I140 is already complete.

i am planning to change by job & join a new company. i know that i can legally change my job 6 months after i filed my I485.

i have not met anybody who has done change of job on EAD so i am not sire if there are any pitfalls which i should worry about before/after changing the job ? is it safe to change the companies while i am on my EAD,should i consult a immigration lawyer ?

any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Did you come here on working visa? Let the company's lawyer that is willing to hire you make the transition. Just make sure that you are not breaching a contract to the first employer, or the 2nd job is will to pirate you.

Hi,thanks for your response.
i came here on H1 visa almost 7 years back,right now i am not on any visa,i am working based on my EAD card.
i don't have any agreement with with my first company & i am free to change the company. can you please elaborate on the problems i may face if i change the company by myself.
