Hi everyone, I would like to seek your help in my present situation. Thank you so much for past helps on my immigration journey. I cannot appreciate this site enough. I did my biometrics 2wks ago.Yesterday ,i got an RFE from USCIS asking me to send my birth certificate (already i enclosed a copy when i filed my I-485. Is it proper?). 2. To send all supporting tax docs(w-2s,1099s,Form 2555 ), Birth cert of co sponsor, that Joint sponsor's income didnt meet the 125% of poverty guideline for the Joint sponsor's household size., that i have to submit evidence of assets that meets (a)assets must be equal to the stated difference between joint sponsor's household income and 125% of poverty guidelines...Or (b) assets equal 5times the difference for all others. (c) evidence of assets of joint sponsor. NOTE: my joint sponsor is self employed and doesn't receive salaries, and so got no w-2s. This is quite a lot to read but just for you to get the picture clearly. My questions are the following: what exactly do they expect to be done? since I have not received my EAD nor any notification for EAD? And i have not been working and need a job. They have given me 87 days to forward all the above to make a final decision on my application. Pls kindly advise. Thank you folks.

Your birth certificate - send it again.

For your joint sponsor - since they are self-employed, send the tax form and the 1099s or the other forms they used to determine their income and file their taxes. But it is much easier to just send the tax transcript. It includes all information needed and sending additional forms isn't necessary. Go to the IRS website to learn how to request a tax transcript.

Your Adjustment is on hold until you send in all of the required documents. You won't be approved for an EAD until after your adjustment application is deemed valid. Your clock may or may not restart once they receive your documents. Keep that in mind as you wait on your EAD.

        Hi!

I have the same case as yours except for the birth certificate. Theyre asking for evidence. I just got the letter from USCIS yesterday. I was just wondering how they compute for the income requirement, as far as i know my husband ( petitioner ) is above the 125% of the poverty guidelines and how come theyre still asking for more assets.

Did you reply back to them already? I was also given 87 days to submit everything needed.
