  • Can I go on a cruise with EAD Combo?

Does anybody know if is possible to travel on a cruise like Bahamas with EAD Combo Card?

yes there are no travel restrictions on your AP. AP is only valid for returning to the US and not for entering other countries. So if that country requires a visa for people from your country of citizenship you will have to satisfy the same requirements. Note - some countries waive visa requirements for US green card holders and apply the same standard to AP. So research the cruise you intend to take and the ports of call then figure out whether you need a visa or not to enter least you end up stuck on boat at every stop.

I can say for sure that if you have a multiple entry US visa extending past the cruise return date you can take the cruise, one of my family members recently did. However if you visa is expired and you have an EAD it could be risky because the CBP person at the cruise terminal may not be aware of all nuances of immigration law and prevent you from boarding the ship as the visa in your passport is expired. If I were in this situation I would not take the risk.

Unless you have an H1b/H4/L1/L2 visa, you can only enter on an AP. Trying to enter on any other kind of nonimmigrant visa would likely cause the pending AOS to be considered abandoned.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
