Hi all. I hope you're all ok and coping well with this process.
I've been reading this forum for a couple of months now but have only just plucked up the courage to join. I am originally from England but married a wonderful American man in June 2017. I came to America (Las Vegas) in September 2017 and we later filed concurrently.
Here is my timeline:
Filed I-130, I-485, I-131, I-693.
PD: 10/23/2017
11/02/2017 I-131 rejected due to missing signature and "insufficient fees".
11/30/2017 biometrics appointment at ASC
I-131 returned along with i-765 and received by Uscis on 12/11/17 but no priority date on letters. No money sent but note attached stating I shouldn't have to pay due to concurrent filing. Both forms accepted.
12/22/17 letter received regarding I-765 stating "this notice informs you that USCIS is able to use your previously captured fingerprints and other biometrics.
I haven't heard anything from USCIS since they received my I765 and I131. Case status on I485 not updated since 11/02 when it stated that they had accepted my fingerprint fee. All others stuck on "case received" and last I heard they were all at the NBC.
So my questions are as follows:
1. Will my advanced parole and work permit have priority date of 10/23 like the other forms or December?
2. Will the fact they are using the biometrics already given affect the timescales?
3. Will the forms remain at NBC or move to my local centre in Vegas?
4. I know I can chase the work permit after 75 days but can I do the same with advanced parole?
I think that's it for now. This whole process is driving me crazy. My poor husband is probably sick of me complaining that I can't go to work. I've worked since I was 14 so 21 years and have now not worked since August. I'm going out of my mind.
I'm anticipating that the Green Card won't go through until at least October 2018 but as long as I get the work permit and AP I'm not too fussed about the rest. I don't mind waiting so much, it's the lack of communication that drives me crazy. And the lack of updates on processing times online.
Thank you in advance.
Mel
