Background Check Delays ?

Wanted to start a thread to capture experiences of others who are facing delays or faced delays in background checks for I-485.

1. When did you file I-485 ?
2. What has been your experience trying to find out more - Congressman/Senator, Infopass, Ombudsman etc.
3. If your background check cleared after a delay, how long did it take ?
4. Please also add any other relevant information that may help others.

I am a June 2017 filer under the IR1 category (National Benefits Center), and am still being told that my background check is pending. I have always maintained legal presence in the US and have had a clean record all my life.
They refuse to disclose when they initiated the background check or which part of it is pending (IBIS, Fingerprint, Name Check).

Let us share our experiences, so we can educate ourselves more while this seemingly endless wait continues.

PD August 2016! Like Whoa!

I'm stuck in a background security check abyss. Came here as a foreign student and went out of status later on. Got married in July 2016 to a US citizen. I'm Pakistani by birth.
* Filed Aug 2016 concurrently. i485, i130 and employment authorization.
* October 2016 got EAD
* First interview April 2017.
* 2nd interview September 2017 and were separated. Went really good and satisfied all documentation and evidence.
* July 2017 applied renewal for EAD
* Feb 2018 got EAD renewal
* Feb open SR for i485 and i130.
*March 2018 got reply to SR saying security checks are pending and a decision awaits those checks.
That's my timeline. No senator or congressman was contacted. Simply put once anyone is stuck in security checks it's extremely difficult for anyone to interfere with your case or move your file up the ladder. Being from Pakistan is not helping either. Anyone has any ideas or advice or suggestions? Please don't suggest me the senator or congressman opion. Already did that. If I force a decision it will be denied because security checks are incomplete. Anyone out there in the same boat? Hit me up!
