Friends Need help in know how to change status??? Pl help

Hi!

I have question about change of Status from B1 to H1 and this may sound crazy, but all this is to see that i am not out of status visa, i mean, i dont want to overstay or stay illegally in USA. I desire to get my H1b done.

I understand that the longer you stay the more chances of acceptance of change of status

from B1 to H1, but the worry is that the H1 Cap getting over very fast this year.

What are the chances of H1 getting approved if we file it after 45 days stay?

Can a non technical person with 5+yrs of exp staying out of US apply for H1B, what are the

chances of approval?

What are the chances of H1b approval if my B1 is extended to the maximum Stay(Say 1 yr)?

will there be any problem if i apply for H1 after extention of B1?

While on B1 in USA, can i apply for B1/workpermit for Canada? if yes how do I go about it?

The reason i asked is cause this years cap is getting filled very fast? so incase i am not

able to make it, i can aswell tour canada and work there?


What are the chances of change of status from B1 to F1(Study Visa, what would be the minimum cost)? and how soon can i change it to H1?

Hello.. It is a very good idea not to overstay so that you keep a clean record with INS.

H1B quota has been filled for the second half of 2006. The safest route is to convert your visa from B to F; this now has become increasingly difficult, but not impossible. While you are at school, you can find H1 sponsors. Please consult uscis.gov for procedures and cost of visa changes.

Also i want to know if God willingly i got my F1 visa, is it possible to have my wife here in USA? as I am getting married very soon.??

What are the chances of getting F1 visa while i am on B1?
