Update guys! I got an email saying "New Card is being produced" today. They updated on the uscis.gov website, but on the DHS one it never changed, still "interview was scheduled".
Now I hope they don't send the card to my old address like they did with my interview notice.... the worries are real...
Plz I think they'll approve yours really soon since you submitted your RFE response not so long after mine. I waited 103 days for the approval, and finally it happened right before 4th of July thank God. I'm gonna have a few more drinks tonight....
Things do seem like they're moving in ATL field office, extremely slowly, but it's moving at least. And I got 2 RFEs, don't make the same mistakes guys... it will tremendously slow your case down.
Below is my timeline:
3/2/2018 - Sent out everything
3/12/2018 - Got receipts for everything
April 2018 - Fingerprint appointment
July 2018 - RFE from Chicago for i-864
July 2018 - RFE response sent to Chicago
August 2018 - Case ready to be scheduled for interview
9/11/2018 - EAD combo card received
1/18/2019 - Interview was scheduled
2/26/2019 - Interview
2/26/2019 - Got RFE for Birth certificate notarial at Interview
2/26/2019 - i-130 approved
3/21/2019 - RFE response sent to field office
7/3/2019 - Card is being produced

Recently ran into an acquaintance who got married to a US citizen in August 2018 and applied for AOS in September. The couple is Atlanta based as well, they had their interview in June and green card was immediately approved. So that does give me hope that interviews are happening and things aren’t completely static for us in Georgia

Plz nooooooo not until 2020. Just like Angela, I’m waiting on final decision on 485. Interview completed and RFE response sent. It so nerve wrecking but all we can do is pray and hope for the best. Let’s keel each other posted. I hope you get your interview soon as you have been waiting for too long.

Yeah I followed up with the lady at congressman's office, she told me USCIS have a backlog of congressional inquiries.....so many people have their congressperson involved that they're backed up with inquiries LMAO... Why can't they just work harder and solve the problems so that fewer people would have to involve their congressperson?!
Also there is virtually no time limit to process an RFE response, they can just keep my case pending FOREVER.

Uscis isnt responding to the congressman on my behalf either. Ombudsman office just keeps sending an e-mail to me saying they are backed up and it might take 90-120 days before they can look into my case. After the first 90 days they sent me that e-mail again. Straight up BS.

Interview done 125 days ago.
Contacted congressman and they reached out to USCIS on my behalf a month ago. Still no response from USCIS.

Just an update.. anyone else in the same boat as me?
My status changed to "ready to schedule interview" some time last year around May 2018... then January 2019, I receive notification that interview scheduled at ATL field office. Interview was for Feb 25th. However, on February 20th I receive text that interview cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances... I thought it was a prank so i logged onto the website and it said interview cancelled that i will receive notice in mail. I also got a call from USCIS officer saying the interview was cancelled and i will get notice in mail. Maybe 2 weeks later i got notice of the cancellation in the mail. I have been waiting since then for a re-schedule and nothing. no updates at all.... I filed for EAD/AP renewal March 2019 a month after they cancelled my interview. I received the receipt notification for both renewals but also no update since then. I know my EAD will automatically renew for 180 days with the receipt but what about my AP???
Is anyone else in this boat?
Category (c09)
PD is February 2018
EAD/AP 1st approval July 2018
Interview Scheduled January 2019
Interview Canceled February 2019
EAD/AP renewal mailed and received by USCIS March 2019
