7 mos of waiting and no biometric yet NBC

I've been waiting for too long and since then my case was received for 7 mos no changes at all..i haven't receive any biometric letter.My husband called around september and they told us to wait up to 6 mos.So we waited but then the case was still the same.I tried to submit an inquiry And im still for their reply by tom..Im too stress because can't even work..Is there somebody can help me..

People have done in the past and it sped up things!

Hi! I read some people just go to USCIS office to get biometrics done without letter. There is officer when you enter, who ask you what is the reason of your visit and ask you about letter appointment, but I think you should try to go there and explain your situation to him.
I know some people did not have appointment and went there without letter and got their biometrics done. I think you should definitely try, you have nothing to lose. The worst case scenario- they?ll just send you home, the best - they let you go and make them without extra questions and will understand your situation.
I also did not get my letter something happened in the post office and they lost the letter.
So I got notification only in the middle of November that I was scheduled for biometrics on the September, 26th.
Eventually I rescheduled appointment and made them done only before Christmas.
It is really frustrating ... this waiting is the hardest part. I know, but my advice to you - try your best, go to USCIS because calls are not gonna help you.
