EAD Update - New Card

Hi All!

February Filer here - concurrent I-765/I-130/I-485 to Chicago lockbox. My timeline is:

2/16/2018 --> Sent in application packet
2/20/2018 --> Application was received at lockbox (2 day shipping but Monday was a holiday)
3/something --> Request for biometrics
3/something --> Walk-in, did biometrics before the appointment
4/4/2018 --> Reviewed biometrics & still processing case (on DHS account)
4/19/18 --> SR to Expedite because my husband's OPT ends June 4 and I-765s have been taking 3-5 months AFTER biometrics, and I got nervous
4/20/18 --> Request to fax documents proving that my husband will be terminated without new docs (they asked for a signed letter from company "officer" on official letterhead)
4/26/18 --> Sent in the most recent email from HR, a signed letter from HR, and a signed letter from his boss
5/4/2018 --> Got text about change of status. Went to eGov and saw that "New Card Being Produced"

No updates to I-130 or I-485. We have an eGov account as well as a DHS account. eGov shows nothing after 2/20 for I-130/I-485, DHS account shows the "we are reviewing your biometrics and processing your case" for both the I-765 and the I-485, nothing for the I-130.

Yeah, unfortunately, not all sites update. Have you tried the case tracker app? Here's what I see on my end.

Wow the app is great! Unfortunately it won?t import my I-485 case. Perhaps an officer is currently working on it. I?ll try again tomorrow. Thanks again!

2/16/18 - Mailed paperwork certified mail to USCIS
2/20/18 - Paperwork received by USCIS
3/5/18 - Received Notice of Action, I-797C
3/10/18 - Received appointment for Biometrics
3/20/18 - Biometrics completed in New Orleans. Live in Pensacola, Florida
4/6/18 - Raised SR to have EAD expedited due to job offer
4/13/18 - Faxed proof of job offer
4/18/18 - Status for I-485 changed to Case is Ready to be Scheduled for Interview
5/2/18 - Status for I-765 changed to Card has been produced.

It?s just blank. It says ?My? and nothing below it.

I?m on the same boat. My I485 has been showing blank with just ?my? message since 4/18 when it updated. I called and spoke to a level 2 officer and he told me ?case is ready to be scheduled for an interview?. It won?t import on the USCIS tracker too. I don?t get email updates even though I signed up for them. I just rely on informed delivery by USPS. It?s frustrating to say the least.

I just noticed that my i485 timeline (new "check case account") only says

Feb 6 - we received your case
Feb 6 - we received your biometrics FEE and are reviewing your case
Feb 23 - we need more information from you (RFIE)
March 8 - we received your RFIE response and you case is no longer on hold.


Mine DOES NOT say "we received your biometrics" Is this normal?! I did my biometrics on Feb 26. My other two cases (I175 and I130) also do not mention that my biometrics have been received.

I am thinking you are referring to your dhs.gov account and not to egov.uscis.gov. Have you looked at egov and the tracker app? So for right now, I would not stress too much about updates BlahBlah1846, because you placed that request for expedited processing and they will have to evaluate it and "touch" your case. They will have to issue a response to your request and we will know Yes vs No, and along with that, whether your biometrics has been reviewed. Your EAD/AP won't be issued without it. So I think you're good. Just get through the weekend.

I am getting frustrated now, since a month the last update on my case I-485 is we review your biometric and we are still processing your application. Dont know what to do? I call the helpline and still ask me to hold on. I need a job to support my wife am tired of sitting at home.
Also my case number not working on uscis website saying user error but works on dhs.despite several complain nothing is done.

Is this the error you see? We suspect that people get that error right before there is a system tools outage, during which an update occurs and your interview date is then revealed. You can be at this stage for a while, though. In other words, some people have had this validation error for a month. Then, the site gets updated, if you regain access to your case, your interview date is revealed. Similarly, those who are up next, will lose access to their cases during and after the outage, and will remain at that stage until the next outage/update wave.

Do you have the case tracker app? You should be able to look up +/- 500 receipts around you and see if others also have that validation error.

Got it. Several people have reported getting that validation error. Some have called USCIS and have been told that their file had been moved to the queue to be scheduled for an interview. So it's not like "Case ready to be scheduled for interview". This is actually in the queue - playing musical chairs, looking for a slot for you.

The next outage is tomorrow. I've pasted a post from someone who experienced the validation error, and also the email alert about tomorrow's system outage.

Last update on all my online accounts even the case tracker app 02/21/2018


I raised an SR online for my 1-765 on day (76). Now I'm on day (83) and I still haven't received anything yet. Nothing in the mail. I don't know what else to do. This waiting game is really getting frustrating.

Neither dhs.gov nor egov.uscis.gov. says anything about receiving biometrics. Only dhs.gov mentions that they received the FEE. egov.uscis.gov. says absolutely nothing.

Day 76 - No Update

This is getting frustrating now. What day of the application are you all at?

I am ok if USCIS wants time to process my Adjustment of Status but at least provide the EAD. I am currently working on F-1 OPT and it will expire on July 10. I hope I get the EAD card before that.
