No e-notification/text yet, any idea on why it might be taking so long to get a notification? I've noticed others getting theirs within a few days.
You should be getting your NOA before this week ends. No worries everything is fine! You probably will get the NOA in the mail first. You can always check your case with your receipt numbers good luck my friend. My PD is January 4 and I took my Biometrics on January 31st and now waiting...

By the way I am from North Carolina too 👍

            Hi Everyone,

            Hello,
I am sponsoring my 77 year old mother for green card. I have some questions related to that.
            Here are my details
            Package Sent to USCIS: 01/17/2018 >> i130, i485, i864
            Package delivered: 01/22/2018
Package sent back to me : 01/29/2018 >> entire package was sent back cuz biometrics fee was not included
            Resent package to USCIS: 02/05/2018
            USCIS recieve date : 2/8/2018
            2 Text messaged received: 02/20/2018
            Notice I-797 received 02/26/2018

Question 1: what are the next steps - are there any other mandatory forms i need to send other than what i have already sent?
Question 2: what is the anticipated timeline? what to expect?
Question 3: When should i start the process for i693?

            Thank you

              Hello Welcome

I believe most of the persons on this discussion including myself have filed through their spouses, so to answer your questions may be tricky.
And 1: The next step is within 3-5 weeks you should get the biometrics done and you will be notified when your appointment is on your case and also by letter. If there were additional forms required you would not have been approved and they would have return your package to you asking for whatever else is necessary.
Answer 2: She is your immediate relative so therefore it should be the same 6months to a year should all go well (from what I can remember). What to expect is broad. At this point you are simply waiting on instructions and continuously checking your status on your case online for updates and notifications and documents through the mail.
Answer 3: Your case status will tell you when you should turn in the medical, I believe it is close to when they want to schedule for the interview and you may also take it with you on the day of the interview.

We have all just submitted our packages and going through the stages together, so we don?t have much on what to expect because we are doing this for the first time. However what you can do is go through past forum discussions like Jan-March 2017 and before filers and look at their experiences and timeline. I hope I helped. Please continue to give updates and best of luck for you and Mom.

My answers are based read information they are simply a recollection of data and opinions.

I called USCIS today and they told me to wait until tomorrow (Day 10). I will call them tomorrow again and try to get the case number if possible. USCIS needs at least 10 days after receiving the package to send the the receipt notification it seems.

Your response has put my mind to rest. I will check the Jan-March 2017 forums. I tried looking up my case on line on USCIS website but it gives me a validation error. Any idea on how long it takes for them to put this on their site?

                      Filing i-485 and i765

                      Hi everyone,
I have also filed for AOS in February. Awesome to have a group to share the wait/anxiousness with
I filed i-130 in March 2016 and have a PD of 05/2016 -- Not sure if my PD will be that one still, i am hoping it will because i need my EAD ASAP.
I am married to a USC, 5 year now and we have 2 kids also USC - one born abroad and one here. I am on F1-OPT, but will expire in July. I am filing without a lawyer, we did the same with i-130 and we didn't have issues so hoping for that too.
                      Here is my timeline:
                      02/23 --> Mailed packaged
                      02/26 --> Package received
03/02--> My debit card was charged ( hope this means i'll get case numbers soon!)
                      Filing from: Seattle,WA
I'll post updates as they come.

I had submitted docs with complete set of I-485/I-765/I-131 to Phoenix lockbox on Feb 14 for both myself and my spouse. I am the primary applicant. Package was delivered by USPS on Feb 17, and USCIS says it has received on Feb 20. Both sets of applications included a filing fee of $1,225 each, payable to US Department of Homeland Security.

On Mar 2, we got email confirmation with receipt notices for I-485/I-765/I-131 for my spouse's application. In addition, the filing fee of $1,225 was cashed on the same day. However, I did not get any such email confirmation on my application, nor was the check cashed. In addition, on Mar 3, I got a I797C rejection notice saying that the extra remittance we had submitted with the application was not required and is being returned, and that no action was required from our part at this time. However, the notice did not have any check or anything else enclosed. In addition, the envelope itself was not sealed (or may be was sealed and later opened).

Has anyone had such an experience? I am really confused what to make of this. As far as I understand, $1,225 filing fees are required for both applications, regardless of which is primary or dependent. There was no other reason to return the check that I can think of, other than USCIS error.

Today was the 13th day since I got USPS notification that my package was delivered. This morning I made a call to USCIS to get the update, since I still hadn't received a text, email or mail notification, and was able to acquire my Case numbers for all forms.
                            PD - 2/20
Fingerprint fee was received - 3/2
797 mailed to me on 3/2 (though not received yet). My file is in MSC (Missouri Service Center)

I?m on an F1 student visa and I?m pplying for adjustment of status based on marriage

I?ve not heard anything back from USCIS, it?s been roughly two weeks my package delivered. My debit card hasn?t shown that the checks have been cashed and I?ve not gotten a receipt number or anything in my email. I?m really freaking out. I?ve tried to call the USCIS line but I?m not able to contact them because I don?t have a receipt number.

Call them at 1800-375-5283. Press 2 (pending application) and then again press 2 (don't know receipt id or lost it). You'll be connected to an officer. Explain them that it has been more than 10 days and you haven't heard anything. They will ask for your A-number(so have it ready). Once they will confirm the information, if they are not able to find your info in the system, they will patch you through to Tier 2 (someone with more info) officer. Tier 2 officer can provide you your case numbers.

I got my case numbers using the above mentioned process. I also got my checks cashed today.
