How long about you faxed over the evidence did it take USCIS to respond? It's been over 2 weeks for me and nothing has happened yet.

      • Tried calling Level 2 Officer

Hey guys, so I tried calling USCIS a couple times cause I wanted to talk to a level 2 officer and the level 1 rep refused to transfer me.
What do I do? What are the reasons that you guys gave to get the level 1 rep to transfer you?

Call again and ask to speak to a level 2 officer. Once transferred you will be prompted to request level 2 officer to call you back. That?s what I did and level officer called me back in an hour. Not sure why your case has no updates. My Pd is 2/22 and my case status is ready to be scheduled for interview.

          • I tried asking to speak to a level 2 officer and the rep said 'why? What's your reason?' I told them i raised an SR and need them to clarify further on the SR and that i want an update on my i-485 case. And the rep turned me down and was kinda rude about it, saying my case is within normal processing time and told me to wait. She refused to transfer me to a level 2 officer. What excuse should I give them?

            • Filing for I-485

              Hello,
I have my 1-140 approved in Aug 2017. Was wondering if i can apply for I-485? If yes, how much times does it take?

              Thanks

              • Okay, so I first attempted to raise an SR for my i-485 on April 30th, but the system didnt go through cause it said that my i-485 is still within normal processing time. So i decided to wait. This morning I got annoyed and raised an SR for my i-485, i chose the 'didn't receive a notice' option (eventho i havent gotten any updates online about my case since my biometrics which is in march) and it said there on the 'case tracker' app that my 'inquiry about a notice for this application i-485 is being assigned to an officer for a response'. So I hope that kinda did the trick to get them to look at my case and freakin' give me an update already. I've been waiting since February for an update and I dont know why I haven't gotten any. Not even an update on my i-765.

I've said "well, I keep getting conflicting answers from level 1 representatives. At this point, I must hear it from a level 2".

Add any sugarcoat as needed. Never lose your cool with them. I find that an assertive but soft spoken approach works best.

It takes about 2 weeks for my case. I have heard people got response within 1 week.

                    • Day 90 Update

Yesterday, letter confirming the interview arrived. My interview is scheduled for 6/20. All my other 3 cases ( I-130, I-131 and I-765) are still showing Case Is Received. From what I have been reading around the forum, USCIS is scheduling GC interviews even before issuing any EADs since there is already a big backlog to clear for EADs. Wishing everyone the best in their journey.

You can sign up here with USPS: https://informeddelivery.usps.com/bo...o/start.action

This will allow you see beforehand (in the morning), which all mails you can expect during the day and you can plan your day accordingly.

I knew in the morning that USCIS mail would be arriving because USPS upload the scanned images of the mails on Informed Delivery.

You could ask your post office to hold any USCIS mail for you. USPS informed delivery may or may not scan your interview notice. It's happened recently that some notices have not been scanned. You can also call USCIS and get your interview date and time.

You can call USPS but I would just walk over to your post office.
Call USCIS customer service. Any level 1 will have access to your interview date and time.
