  • Divorce my green card "wife" after 1 year 2 months or annulment

So this Ukrainian is insane and has tried her best to ruin my life. She ruined all my friends and now that my uncle comes she's trying to ruin my relationship with him. She provoked me and hit me a lot yesterday and I have bite marks all over but is threatening me to send me to jail and say I hit her even though I recorded her hitting me.

She's psycho and literally won't let me divorce and keeps threatening me now she's threatening to abuse the Violence against women's act that 98% of women use to stay here for work and money because their country sucks or they're broke. Let's face it women who are here because of a man you used, you women only care for yourselves and from now on I understand everything so i don't care no more.

I was wondering if I get a divorce can she still get the vawa bullshit to stay or is it not possible to?

I want an annulment guys I want to show that I have a bigger "I don't care attitude" I have all the proof I need for an annulment.

Can she get vawa after divorce and what about annulment?

I've read they can get vawa after annulment but even the shitty government can't stop the customs agents from sending her back once they find out the marriage was annulled

You need to go to a marriage counseling forum or an anti government forum for the answers you seek.

People get frustrated when they don't get what they want. Clearly, you are both frustrated. I find that I can get anything I want by giving someone something they want in return. In your case, you want your wife out of your life. In her case, she wants her green card. Surely you can both find an amicable arrangement in which you both get what you want

So your advice here is to commit fraud? That sounds like great advice.

If you want her to get out of your life, then just divorce and move on. Her immigration status and whether she stays or not is between her and the government, and doesn't concern you once you divorce.

You didn't say what her current status is. If she is already a conditional permanent resident, she can remove conditions on her own after divorce or annulment, as long as the marriage was not for the purposes of evading immigration laws; she doesn't even need to claim abuse (either abuse or divorce/annulment is enough). If she hasn't gotten permanent residency yet, then she probably can't get it unless she claims abuse. Again, all this doesn't concern you if it doesn't affect you. If she lies, that's her problem. She might not need to lie depending on her situation (e.g. if she is a conditional permanent resident she can remove conditions just based on divorce or annulment without claiming abuse). If she does something that affects you, i.e. press false charges on you, then you can defend yourself accordingly in that case.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

Her status is she got her first green card not the second one so surely divorce especially annulment will Remove it

Nope. To the contrary, divorce or annulment is one basis for her to apply for Removal of Conditions by herself.

And how is that possible? She barely got the first green card and we have to wait 2 years until the permanent one.

How does it make sense she could do it especially with an annulment it's bs

                    bottom line

Just divorce or if you can get the annulment and then move on and don't give her any more thought. let the chips fall where they may. It totally sucks that she took advantage of you and i can totally understand that you don't want her to get away with it but the whole thing is more drama than you need.

Growing up is letting someone because it's a girl get away with fraud and wasting someone's time and money?

                        I

No she needs to learn the hard way

Like I said earlier go find a marriage counselor or shrink to talk to. Her immigration status is between her and the USCIS. If you feel so strongly then write a letter to USCIS with all your allegations and may they will act on them which is extremely unlikely. Just because you sponsored someone don't make them your property. They can up and leave anytime they want.

So it only took you 1 year and 2 months to figure out she was "using" you?

Nothing you have said indicates that the marriage was fraudulent. Genuine marriages fall apart all the time and what you described just sounds like a bad marriage. Her ruining your relationships is not fraud. Her wasting your time and money is not fraud. Even if she is abusing you, that is still not fraud.
