  • AM I crazy! thinking anyone can obtain a travel parole.. can help me? I-130 & I 485

Hi all, I have an issue and Im wondering if Im kidding myself, my attorney is completing the I130 & I 485, its my 2nd green card since I gave mine back 12 years ago, my I94 is ok but I cant travel outside the US since by B2 visa expired. (stupid me). I have a family trip overseas at the end of March, assuming that my lawyers submit this week, and the fact I am getting support from my congressman, realistically there is NO CHANCE my advance travel parole will be granted in three-four weeks. RIGHT? Can someone talk sense into me. If I do delay my application until my return from my trip I may not get into the country since my B2 has expired.

The chances are not even possible correct I think my lawyer is telling me hes seen it done in two weeks to stop me from bugging him so much.

My wife is american and Ive had a green card before, Im canadian.

    Thanks for the input!/advise.

the chances are very slim of having it approved on time unless you can prove emergency nessecity for AP, which based on your description of a family trip does not sound like it qualifies for emergency approval. I wish you the best, but you might need to postpone your trip for a bit.

Sounds like a good idea to cancel your trip.

Highly unlikely that you will get it that fast, especially these days. I would expect 3 months at least.

I don't know if it has changed, but when I needed emergency AP I went to local immigration office and lined up outside at 3am. I got card by 2pm.

How long ago was this? I don't think it works this way any more.
