Change of citizenship while I-485 in process

1. I am on AOS/I-485 and got Canadian citizenship. Anybody has similar situation? Can I ask US immigration to stamp AOS on my new Canadian passport at the port of entry? Process wise is it a small issue or INS has trouble in accepting change of citizenship? What is the best way in this situation.

2. What is the new process with dual citizenship of India? Once I surrender Indian passport, do I get a new passport which can be used as travel document or is it just a visa/card/document to be carried with valid passport of different country?
