Hello,
I had my i-485 denied last year because of a lawyer's mistake. I wasn't eligible to apply for green card through my former husband who had a U visa. They sent the denial notice explaining that I wasn't eligible for green card because my lawyer didn't send the i-929,to fix his mistake after the denial was almost impossible so I decided no to do anything because my former husband and I were going through a hard time and we ended up divorcing after a few months.
I married my current husband who is an american citizen and we want to apply for my green card now.
My questions are:
Do I have to do anything about the i-485 that was denied in the past? Or just send my new application and the day of my interview when they ask about it I tell them the story?
Thank you
