i have done my Medical Exams 3 times in this GC process. I live in Chicago downtown and it was just terrible experience i want to share it so people can avoid the mistakes i have made.
1) Do not have medical exams done on the first submission even when you have EB1 from India since it will anyway take too much time and your medical will be expired by the time they pick it up.
i did this mistake and paid 400$ for the first exam. your tuberculsis reslut will come positive so you will have to do an xray.
2) get the xray done in 50 to100$. . do not spend more than that. I went to an expensive hospital thinking my insurance will cover it. they charged 700$ and i had to pay 400$ for the first report.
All this headache and when uscis receives it the thing is expired.
i went to the same doc again and he said he will have to give me more shots and no discount even when he has done it 1 year back. so 400$ again.
I checked with friend and they said 200$ is what is the normal.
No again i was searching for a good doc in Chicago downtown area. I had only 2 weeks to get the reports this time and i wanted something quick.
Most of the docs in Chicago area dont pick phones or give the right information. went personally to these places only to know that the doc will be coming only on Friday and all.
Fortunately found Dr Munoz at at Chicago medical group at 2800 sheridan. they pick up phone. dont charge much considering in downtown and are quick.
He recommended a xray and again that was quick and easy and not expensive. i got everything in 1 week which was a great.
Highly recommend this doc and i would ask people to post here in case they have good doctors in downtown area.
