Case Is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview - pending since August!?

Hi guys!

My question today is should i contact uscis since my form I-485 is pending since August 14th? - it says As of August 14, 2017, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status.

I filed for adjustment of status in July 14th 2017.
Biometrics on August 8th 2017.

Got my EAD/Advanced Parole on October 14th

It has been a while since anything has changed. Should i contact them or just wait for status update? I filed in California, Santa Ana.

Mostly depends on your local office. When case is ready to schedule interview, they have completed all checks and are waiting for an opening in calender to schedule your interview. So if you local office is in a immigrant heavy city it takes much longer.

we filed in june but not completed because of evidence request until August.

Current processing time for my city office is working on March 2017 applications.

Our interview status has only been since March though.

My friend says that it usually takes at least a year from filing to get the interview/GC. And right now the whole system is backed up, according to our lawyer.

Do you maybe know if it will be possible to renew my work permit, in case it doesn't get processed until October? I mean, is it possible to renew work permit while waiting for green card? Thank you guys, i really appreciate any help.
