The I-130 is approved. The I-485 is still pending but will probably be approved soon.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

        Thank you for the answers
Why the I 130 is approved and i485 needs more time what is the difference between them?

          from another website:
An approved Form I-130 is good news, but it?s only the beginning of a process that requires several forms to be filed with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and/or the Department of State. Unfortunately, an approved I-130 petition does not, by itself, give you permission to come to, or remain in, the United States. The approval of the I-130 petition is a prerequisite to the immigrant then filing an application for a green card (lawful permanent residence) through AOS using form I-485.
This is my opinion, not legal advice!

The OP filed I-130 and I-485 concurrently. There are no further forms to be filed. The I-485 will likely be approved very soon.

Hi there, I went for the interview last week, and this week, I also received the i797 apporval notice with the same information as yours. I was wondering if this means we pass the interview? Because the officer didn't tell us whether we passed or not after the interview, he told us to wait to receive information by mail

Plus, I do receive Request evidence letter for more financial supporting documents to let them make the final decision. We are not too worried about these supporting documents, but was just wondering if we passed the interview or not.

Hi guys, I received notice of action for my mum which says the application has been approved but USCIS has retained the petition as we had intended to approve for visa from overseas too. Approved but retained means should I wait for the welcome letter or something needs to be done from our end? What happens next?

It says you incorrectly filled out both the Adjustment of Status and Consular Processing questions on the I-130 (I-130 Part 4 items 61 and 62). You are supposed to only fill out one of them. Did you fill out both? Since you incorrectly filled out both parts, they assumed you would do Adjustment of Status, and did not send the I-130 to NVC for Consular Processing. Since you guys want to do Consular Processing, you would need to file I-824 (selecting reason 1.d in Part 2), and pay the fee, to have it sent to NVC.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
