  • No update on USCIS website

    Application received on 22 March
    NOA on 5 April

Did my biometrics at ASC on 20 April.

But the on-line case status has not changed since first entry on April 2 of receiving application.

Is this normal ? Soudn't the website have any updates after my initial entry ? Is anyone facing such Issue ?

I wish the answer to this is "Yes", but seeing other people get RFE even after getting courtesy letter on this forums makes me think otherwise. Wish other people can comment on this, and let us know if this is true.

When I check the uscis tracker app I see that there should be a new weekly review wave on today tomorrow and the day after if I am not mistaken. Hold on tight and hopefully we will have good news. Hi! my timeline is similar to yours.. My bio appt was for 4/19 but I did an early walk in on 4/10.
Since then I have only gotten "we reviewed your bio..and working in your case" on 4/18.

I asked someone in the forum about their situation because there is a group of people who already got interview dates...After their explanation I do not find the logic. I entered as F1 and has never been out of status. My husband and I dated 2.5 years before getting married; we both met while studying our master degree in an top tier school in the US. We provided pictures and all documentation. Our lawyer is one of the biggest firms in NYC..we were told that everything looks great...still waiting............

I don't think there is a huge sens either. Similar to you, I arrived in 2015 with an H1B, I work for the Air Force as researcher, I dated my husband for 2.5 years before marriage and we sent a lot of documents especially the ones that prove financial assets together. This does not mean that the letter could be shipped today but definitely some people who arrived only in the last few months in USA are going faster than us. Oh well, we will be happy for them and we will wait for our case to be as successful as it is supposed to be!! Best of Luck!!!

not getting this, since you are so stressed out I am thinking the dates you mentioned above are for year 2017? I am I right? because if you saying 4/18/18 then you are expecting a lot from uscis, they are way slower than that.

B_Andie applied in 2018 and yes, some other people applied some weeks before us and had their interview scheduled for May. Some people who applied in January had their interview in April...

To be honest I quite don't get the logic either. An applicant is an applicant, it has nothing to do with our or our spouse's qualifications or how much our lawyer makes. In this lawful process we all have equal rights as non immigrants so does our applications, once my file is picked up from the pile, I get an update or wait my turn in the pile. I do think we need to have trust in the process and believe USCIS is trying to serve in the best way they can within the circumstances...

I might have not explained myself correctly.
                              Please, allow me to clarify:
                              1. I am not expecting USCIS to process applications that fast, but there are several cases of March 2018 filers getting interviews for this month. Given said this, I wonder why my case is not going that fast :-).
                              2. When I started my interactions with lawyers they mentioned that every case is different and the more complicated the case is, the longer it takes for the USCIS to process. Is this wrong? yes, probably but this is what i was told. I have not found data or studies to support this statement.
                              3. I also was told that my case is not difficult since I have not been out of status and have a lot of evidence that show that my husband and I have been together for the last 3 years.
                              4. I agree with you that this is a lawful process and eveyone is treated the same, but if an applicant didnt submit some evidence they will get a RFE and this will extend the process timeline. By having one of the best firms in NYC as my lawyers, I do not expect my case to go faster, but I DO expect my case to not get RFEs since we (lawyers, my husband, and I) spent quite a long time reviewing the application and evidence we sent.

Thanks! I can see you got my point. Also, in previous posts I asked you why do you think your case is going faster. Your answer is pretty aligned to what I thought. But I just wondered why my case is not as fast as your since we have similar situation :-). good luck with your process and keep sharing your updates. It gives me hope!

Hey! I read my initial posting and I do not see why you think I am stressed..I am just "waiting". As someone else here in the forum I have H1B and I can legally work for the next 2 years :-).

The person I answered was wondering what is the next step since there are several March 2018 fillers who already got updates in the system. I wanted to share my timeline with this person to show that we only have to wait since although my case is not complicated I am in the same situation as he/she --- waiting for an update.
