However, I am myself a little bit nervous since we just been married for 7 months, we haven't had many proofs/evidence like other couples, of course I know we're real so we have nothing to scare but I'm kinda super nervous under pressure lol. I was worried if I missed any documents, how I should prepare/organize for all the paperworks and documents, do I need to practice questions or anything with my wife, etc, seriously I need tips/advice from everyone here that just done with the interviews, especially from same-sex married couples, me and my wife like terrified about the news but we're ready for it, lol. And we hope everything will go smooth to everyone here.
Congratulations!!! Relax, if they give you the visa, and you have done everything as expected, you will be fine. follow USFFS directions, you will be fine!

Status for I-765 since June 25th has been "Fingerprint review was completed."

On a related note, on Sept 5th RFIE was sent to me regarding I-485 and to this day I haven't received it. Called USCIS, got told have to wait 30 days since they sent it to do anything.

My local office is Montgomery, Al and I cannot find anyone who is waiting for an interview or already passed the interview at this location.

Afrolinda, fingers crossed you'll receive EAD as soon as possible

    processing time: 03/24!!!!

I'm really in my zen space, checking the processing time everyday and waiting!

Congrats! Are you adjusting from K1 visa? For Houston PD Jan-Feb 2017 is getting interviews so any PD 2018 interview is something extremely fast! Amazing

Congrats! Finally scheduled for interview! It makes sense that it would move a little bit faster for k-1 AOS applicants. It's a little different for you, though. You took the route USCIS prefers to bring fiances and spouses. that will be rewarded. You might remember that USCIS used to ALMOST always waive interviews for k-1 AOS applicants. Back then, you would get the green card by mail in just a few months. While you now have to attend the interview, there is nothing to fear.

Remember that your relationship has already been vetted by the US Embassy where the k-1 visa was approved. The last condition of the deal was for you to marry your fiance within 90 days of arrival in the US, and start building a life together. Well, you have done that. So really, all you have to do is show that you two are starting to get established.

Here is the link to this thread. https://www.immihelp.com/forum/showt...580#post581580 Not everything will apply to your case, but there are some useful ideas to stage and organize your evidence - in case you don't quite know where to start OR what constitutes CONCRETE evidence of bona fide marriage.
The link should take you to the most recent post. I would focus on #1 - Thread by 4EVER. I would carbon copy the format and structure of that Table of Contents.

To all couples, whether adjusting from k-1 or other visas, I always recommend:
    1. An advance health care directive
    2. Financial power of attorney
    3. Affidavit of residence IF you do not have a joint lease, or a joint mortgage.

I recommend to get all 3 notarized. You can read more about them on the thread.

I hope you find value in this entry and the thread. Remember that every case is unique. It's important to showcase the longevity of your relationship. The evidence that you presented at the US Embassy is probably still at the Embassy. So if there is anything that you would like to present that shows how long you've known each other, that's great. Once you look at 4EVER's table of contents, you will she she wrote a very brief timeline. You can include one, too.

Know that your fiance does not have to wait for the EAD to get the Social Security Card. She is/was eligible to get it and simply has to show her k-1 visa at the Social Security Administration.

    All the best,

    USCFFS

She had no idea why my case status doesn't show up on the phone (a glitch I would say) but kindly implied that we won't get an interview in the next couple weeks if my file is not even at the field office so we can go on vacation without worrying!
My case has been ready to be scheduled since June so we just have to wait. I hope we'd get an interview by December since we are visiting my home country in January.
what field office your case falls into?

It is just too much headache in Houston not to have the actual card. I am hoping to avoid EAD cardless days by submitting renewal request as early as 6 months. Just a note; I am applying from Houston and wait time is almost 2 years here. Right now PD January 2017 is getting interviews!! I do agree that the EAD renewal triggers for interview but unfortunately Houston is out of all norms..

I hope it is something very easy to collect!
yep that would actually be close to 180 days prior to expiration, I might also take a chance at that and file around the same time and hope it does not trigger an interview, even if it does, I would be very close to my second marriage anniversary by the time interview comes up.
