I found this article to read the bulletin. Still I'm not sure 100% how to read it in our case.

I actually didn't about this waiting time but I'm glad it does not apply to me.
    From immigration website:
    Spouses of U.S. citizens
Children (unmarried and under 21) of U.S. citizens
Parents of U.S. citizens (The petitioning citizen must be 21 or older.)
Visas are always available for immediate relatives of U.S. citizens. This means your family member does not need to wait in line for a visa. Immediate relatives who are in the United States can file Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status at the same time as Form I-130.

Finally filed as of 03/28/2018! sent with USPS 2 day shipping. Waiting for it to arrive at the Chicago lock box facility. I do have two questions, though.

1.) sent payment for our I-130 and I-485 with credit card form which ARE accepted at lock box facilities. Has anyone else used this payment form before, and how was it?

2.) how long do you think it will be until I start getting notifications that my application and forms have been received and are in review? (I am filing for a foreign spouse)

Thanks and good luck to all!

Can't help you for point 1 but who filed in March took around 12 to 15 days to get notification via email/text

I am sorry for the confusion, I was referring to I485 AOS for EB1A category.

Most people on this thread are AOS by marriage to US citizen for which visa bulletin does not apply. Those cases get processed without any hold ups due to visa bulletin. Please explain what kind of case is yours and then we can help answer your question.

                        Day 10

It's been 10 days since Chicago lockbox received my AOS packet and no response as yet.
I did send in a G1145 as well.

                          received NOA rejection letter

                          Hi All,

I received a NOA rejection letter yesterday and returned two checks to me (I-765: $410 & I-131: $575) indicating "That forms was submitted with an extra remittance that is not required to process your application. Your payment is being returned to you with this notice. No additional action by you is required at this time."

I sent 5 checks to USCIS
I-485: $1140 (cashed on 3/28/18, I have MSC receipt number on hand now)
                          I-485 biometirc: $85 (cashed on 3/28/18)
I-130/I-130A: $535 (cashed on 3/28/18, I have MSC receipt number on hand now)
I-765: $410 (returned on 3/30/18, I have MSC receipt number on hand now)
I-131: $575 (returned on 3/30/18, I have MSC receipt number on hand now)

I googled everywhere and finally realized applying I-485 would actually includes the application of I765 & I-131.
Can you guys confirm this to me please?

Meaning the total costs for the AOS process with travel and work permit request costs us a total of $1760, correct?

I was so worried when I received the rejection letter last night.

It's taking at least 12 days. It's rather anticlimactic. You the texts set up the two types of accounts and that's it. Those accounts won't change for a while; unless you are in Cleveland, OH.

You have nothing to worry about. Page 14/42 of I-485 Instructions,
-Filing Form I-485 with Forms I-765 and I-131
If you properly file Form I-485 and pay the required fees, you may file Form I-765 and Form I-131 without paying
additional fees. You may file these forms together, or if you choose to file Form I-765 or Form I-131 separately, you must
also submit a copy of your I-797C, Notice of Action, receipt as evidence that you filed and paid for Form I-485.

The rest of the fees are correct. The total is $1760. Since you were very smart to send them separately, they're only returning the extra payments and not the entire package. Had the total amount been wrong, they likely would have sent everything back to you.

                              All the best.

Your payment is being returned to you with this notice. No additional action by you is required at this time."
