today i received my green card. It's not exactly in my hand because i am in tennessee for work but my husband has it and sent me a pic. It's great that i received the card the day after independence day... Very patriotic!!!

All of you don't despair, i'm sure the interview will arrive sooner or later and so the green card. Be ready for both events!!

After 3 months, we finally got an update that our case (I-485) is ready to be scheduled for an interview. Our PD is 3/21/18 and the last update that we received was on 4/1/18 saying that our biometric fees were received. Still waiting on EAD.

I have filed an AOS in March and waiting for EAD card before my job starts back in August. If possible, If I'm able to get them to file an H1B through premium processing, would they be able to do that even though my AOS is pending? Seeing that my EAD from AOS may take a while to be done Thanks

I might be totally wrong on this but lottery H1B Visa for FY2019 took place in early April and premium processing was suspended in March 2018.
If your job starts in August I assume you already have some type of work authorization such as OPT, otherwise I do not know how you could have gotten interview and offer letter without it.

Anyways, the answer is YES. You can have H1B petition filed while your AOS is pending. This is actually my case :-)

oh school jobs are cap exempt and can be applied any time of the year!

Interview today

So, my wife and I had our interview today. Unfortunately, it was not approved on the spot but the IO said that it shouldn't be any issues. Questions were fairly light. He asked us questions to confirm our identities, aksed us about how we met, our upcoming move and said he would let us know if he needed anything else. He also aksed some of the yes/no questions on the I485. It seemed more like a casual convorsation then a interview per se.
