  • March filer - no EAD/AP

    EB1A, India - I140 Approved in mid March 2018.
    Dates as below:
When 485 Package sent to USCIS: 3/27/2018
When 485 Package received by USCIS: 3/28/2018
Which Service Center reviewing: MSC (NBC) (supposed to be TSC!!)
    When Text/Email notices sent: N/A
    When Cashed: 4/12/2018
    When Physical Notices mailed: 04/11/2018
    When Physical Notices received: 04/17/2018
    When Fingerprint notice sent: 04/14/2018
    When Fingerprint notice received: 04/20/2018
When Fingerprint notice scheduled: 05/04/2018. (Completed)
Online statuses for myself and dependent say:
EAD: Finger Print Review Was Completed- ?As of May 4, 2018, we completed our review of your fingerprints and are working on your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, at NBC.?
    AOS: ?
    Similar for I485.

    Haven?t heard anything since fingerprint.
It will be 5 months at end of August since initial application.
I am worried as I (and my dependent) have not received approval on neither EAD nor AP, forget about interview.
Can anyone make sense of this? What is going on? What is the use of getting approved in EB1A if Getting GC approved is so much wait, even for EAD.
Has anyone else experienced this much delay in EAD/AP?

              Hello:

YES, not all applicants nor application will have a short processing time; so patience will be the required personality trait to embrace all throughout.
Although I never got any RFE at any stage of the application process, I got my interview 1 year and 13 days from the original package date of July 18, 2017. My interview date was July 31, 2018. In hindsight I wish I could have only got the EAD renewal and got the interview at a much later time like closer to my second anniversary date. That way assumedly I would have got the 10 year green card. Oh well all things happen for a reason.

Congratulations, happy for you, I can imagine how happy you must be right now .

I am still waiting for mine, PD 03/30. I used to keep track of other's EAD approval as that would give me some sense of where I stand, but now I have given up on that, as I see the whole process of approval is so random.

You just resonate my feeling about the whole process, being a Houston Filer, I want my Interview to be scheduled in no less than 2 years from my 2nd anniversary, and to be honest I do not expect anything soon, so I am not really worried about it. Only thing on my mind is EAD, hope I get that soon.

Fingers crossed for you. I hope you get it soon. Removal of conditions is taking so long these days. Hitting 2 years of marriage by the time the case is adjudicated does mean you're bidding on the 10 year card. I'd say it's worth it.

                    • Help please

News about Immigration gets terrifying everyday. We still havent filed I-130 for my 2 kids(from previous relationship) back in my home country cos my husband's income falls short of the 150% income threshold for a family of 5. We asked my mother in law to become a joint sponsor and she agreed. Our dilemma now is if it would be safer to file with a lawyer(total fee would amount to $4500), or just file on our own?

We're worried cos right now, we availed of some govt benefits such as WIC and MCHP for our 3rd child. Those benefits are being considered as "public charge" in Trumps new immigration proposal.

                        • My experience -- Received GC in ~4 months

                          Hello all,

I found the posts on this site quite useful, so decided to share my own green card experience in the hope that it will help others

Feb 28th 2018: Mailed AOS packet (with the medical evaluation, I-765, I-131)
March 5th 2018: USCIS - California Service Center received my AOS application.
April 28th 2018: Received biometrics appointment notice, with an appointment date of 5/14/2018
May 9th 2018: Received my EAD card with travel permit -- this was surprisingly sent before the my biometrics appointment. On my EAD card, it says "Fingerprints not available".
                          July 11th 2018: Greencard approved
August 3rd 2018: Received my Greencard in the mail.

I did not have an interview. I was also abroad from June 21st 2018 to July 15th 2018 and I had no trouble entering the US on my EAD card. My Greencard was approved before my return, but I wasn't aware of that when I flew back.

Was hoping mine would be processed soon so I can go back to my homecountry soon.
