You all have been incredibly helpful and a wealth of knowledge in getting through this without a lawyer - I'd like to pass it forward.

@Afrolinda - Hang in there i'm sure you will get your combo card very soon and your patience will be rewarded.
    Congratulations, that was fast!

Congrats I see in your signature that your EAD was approved! Fingers crossed that you will receive it soon
I wrote this in another thread. Just checked CaseTracker app and this appeared on the history: "As of September 23, 2018, your inquiry about why your case is taking longer than our processing time, referral number SR---------MSC, is currently not assigned for processing."

Does anybody have any experience with service requests? I know they wrote they have until Oct 15th to reply (when I submitted the SR) but will they update it in the system once they assign it for processing?

Anybody received reply for any service request they submitted?

I would enroll your Senator and/or Ombudsman at this point. There are plenty of marriage cases who filed after you, and already got their EADs.

I called USCIS and Tier 1 officer told me that my EAD process is stopped, as I have unanswered RFIE for 485. Inquiring how can I answer something I never received went nowhere. I am in a hell loop. Submitted online request for re-sending RFIE, they will answer until Oct 17th. October 5th is the date after which I should have requested it but I has like no way. Submitted SR for 765, they will answer until Oct 15th.

As I am in Florida, it shows my senators are Marco Rubio and Bill Nelson. Should I try either of them?

Will start probably with Ombudsman, thank you.

No, Senators are way faster than Ombudsman. I read of someone from Venezuela who reached out to Marco Rubio. The office acted quickly and it worked.

And please, always ask to be transferred to a Level 2. Sadly, level 1 reps have the same level of access that you have.

I live in NJ and reached out to both my senator and congressman. I would suggest contacting your congressman since they have to deal with less cases and are more likely to help you. Even though my congressman is one of the only two republican representatives in NJ, his office was AWESOME to me. They followed up with USCIS once or twice a week and kept me updated. On the other side, Senator Cory Booker's office wasn't helpful at all.

On another note, last week I woke up to an update on myaccount.uscis.
It stated "Advance Parole Document was produced". I paid no attention to it since I've had my AP for more than a month now (I must admit I was pretty disappointed since I initially thought my interview had been scheduled). Imagine my surprise when I got ANOTHER Advance Parole document in the mail. I guess two is better than none 😂.
Oh, and I was also locked out of my egov.uscis account (no update on that one after I could log in tho)
I honestly don't understand what happened but it seems there are multiple glitches going on.🤷*♀️

Congratulations!!!! Just so you know, tagging someone does not generate an alert or anything. I ran into your post. Next time, send me a message. Please create a thread and post your experience + Table of Contents + any sage advice you would like to share. It helps others to know if you had any concerns (e.g., no lease/ no joint accounts/ visa overstay/divorce - you get the idea) and how you staged your evidence to overcome those concerns or gaps. Nothing elaborate.

Send me a message once that's up. I will then grab that link and add it to the list of resources. I update it every few days.

I am very happy for you. Blessings!

                      • Thank you everyone for your kind words and your help. I am actually F-1 visa holder, we don't have the lease or joint morgage, can we use other evidences like ID (same addresses), joint banks, auto register, phone bill, insurance ?

You took the route USCIS prefers to bring fiances and spouses. that will be rewarded. You might remember that USCIS used to ALMOST always waive interviews for k-1 AOS applicants. Back then, you would get the green card by mail in just a few months. While you now have to attend the interview, there is nothing to fear.

Remember that your relationship has already been vetted by the US Embassy where the k-1 visa was approved. The last condition of the deal was for you to marry your fiance within 90 days of arrival in the US, and start building a life together. Well, you have done that. So really, all you have to do is show that you two are starting to get established.

Here is the link to this thread. https://www.immihelp.com/forum/showt...580#post581580 Not everything will apply to your case, but there are some useful ideas to stage and organize your evidence - in case you don't quite know where to start OR what constitutes CONCRETE evidence of bona fide marriage.
The link should take you to the most recent post. I would focus on #1 - Thread by 4EVER. I would carbon copy the format and structure of that Table of Contents.

To all couples, whether adjusting from k-1 or other visas, I always recommend:
                        1. An advance health care directive
                        2. Financial power of attorney
                        3. Affidavit of residence IF you do not have a joint lease, or a joint mortgage.

I recommend to get all 3 notarized. You can read more about them on the thread.

I hope you find value in this entry and the thread. Remember that every case is unique. It's important to showcase the longevity of your relationship. The evidence that you presented at the US Embassy is probably still at the Embassy. So if there is anything that you would like to present that shows how long you've known each other, that's great. Once you look at 4EVER's table of contents, you will she she wrote a very brief timeline. You can include one, too.

Know that your fiance does not have to wait for the EAD to get the Social Security Card. She is/was eligible to get it and simply has to show her k-1 visa at the Social Security Administration.

                        All the best,

                        USCFFS

                          • General Question

After I received my combo card and SSN, I?ve gotten a couple of emails saying:

?We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time?

What could this be? Anybody with similar experience?
My FO seems very slow so I?m not expecting my interview anytime soon.

Sorry been out, catching up with my relatives, family and friends after a long wait for EAD so I could not reply. I have got the EAD in hand.

I am hoping and praying for AfroLinda to get her combo card. I think AfroLinda can now apply for SR request by calling them.
