This is a little late but I just want to thank everyone for all your help, insights, and support, especially USCFFS and Afrolinda. Our interview was last November 13 7:30 am at Baltimore FO, we got there at 6:30 with our 10 month old baby since he is still breastfeeding and I think it would be better if he comes with us on our interview. The doors were still closed and the security officers were still having their morning coffee at that time. We thought we could go in early since it's too cold but they didn't open so we had to wait in our car until 7 am. After the security checks, and line for our number, we found a spot were we could easily hear IOs once my name is to be called. 30 minutes after, a mid 30s lady called my name, signaling our turn for the interview. She instructed us where to sit, told us the whole interview is being recorded and sworn us in. IO asked us how, when and where we met and we were both allowed to share our story. After that she confirmed our answers on I130 and I485. I can say it was quite an easy interview since the IO didn't ask any hardpressing questions. The only thing that startled me was when my lawyer put a "no" on the question about overstaying my previous visa. I told her our lawyer prepared the forms and didn't even confirm the answers on it with us. She asked us if there's something we want to show her aside from the previous evidences we submitted, I showed her the whole binder that I prepared and thanked us for not giving her a hard time cos it was very organized. She got a copy of our new rental contract, new bank statements, health care directives and affidavit of residence from our previous place where we lived with my husband's mom and brother. Then she gave us a paper that our interview was completed and told us to contact them if we haven't got a decision in 120 days. I got little disappointed that we didn't get approved on the spot. I tried to keep my mind off this case, cos I didn't want this to add up to my anxiety. A week has passed, still no status change in my online dhs account. And then in the morning of Thanksgiving, I got an email notification saying they have taken action on our case, I checked my dhs account and it says "We approved your case" both in our I130 and I485. That was a big surprise pulled off perfectly by immig. I can finally breathe easier and relax a little until ROC comes.
Thank you again and wishing you all the best!

No interview after Aug. courtesy letter
I have a few questions which I needed help with. I hope someone from this very helpful forum can answer these.
Background:
My priority date Dec 2017. EB1A India I140 approved in March 2017
I received EAD/AP approval in Aug 2018
Along with it, on the same day, I also received a pink courtesy letter for I-693 medical, which instructed me to bring it directly to interview whenever it gets scheduled.
After that (Aug, 2018), I?ve not heard anything in this regard. No news of interview. I understand there is retrogression and GC approval is still some time to go, but I see many in this forum getting interviews scheduled after courtesy letters.
My questions are:
1) Is the interview not being scheduled for at least 3months after receiving courtesy letter, normal?
2) Is there anyone with similar situation?
3) I have not contacted the USCIS so far in this regard. My field office shows 13 to 23 months for I-485 approval. Should I contact USCIS for info on status / interview etc. Will it help in any way?
I hope some of you will help me with these queries.
Thanks so much for all help and suggestions so far.

Interview Scheduled
Hey guys, I woke up today to a text message from USCIS. My interview was scheduled on 12/3.
After talking to a Level 2 officer, I found out that my interview was scheduled for 1/15. Unfortunately, we won't be in the US so we need to reschedule. The officer told me that once I receive the appointment notice I need to send a letter asking to reschedule. I'm feeling uneasy about it (How can I know if they got the letter? What if its misplaced) BUT it was my choice not to put my life on hold for immigration and I knew this could happen.
Hopefully we'll get the appointment notice in the mail soon so we can reschedule ASAP.Marriage-based AOS to USC - Concurrent filing for I-485/I-130/I-765

My FO is Newark, NJ. Processing times for that office are currently 10.5 to 19.5 months and the interview was scheduled at the 10 month mark. So at least in my case, the processing times tool was pretty accurate. Hope you get your interview soon!Marriage-based AOS to USC - Concurrent filing for I-485/I-130/I-765

Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview
Hello everyone,
Can anyone from the March 2018 filers share if their I-485 case status has changed from "Case is Ready to be Scheduled for an Interview" and when did your case status change?
Much appreciate it.

Can't believe it
Hi, a little update.
So, it took me 8 months to receive my EAD/AP combo, I got a job on the next day and been happily enjoying work. Today is day 259 and I found out my interview has been scheduled!
I didn't receive text message that my case was updated, but received e-mail. I log onto https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ and saw that the previous date, on Dec 6th there was update that interview was scheduled.
After so many problems I was skeptical (still am) and I called USCIS. After waiting 48 minutes for a person to talk to, she told me she cannot see any interview date in the system and that I will have to wait for the mail. When I asked if I will receive update on webpage when the envelope is sent she said I should and then she said maybe I won't. And that if I don't receive the mail in 15 to 30 days I should contact them. Not really helpful...
Before I got to that lady I tried to check my status case and automated message said status can't be provided. On the other webpage and all of the apps the status is still Case is ready to be scheduled for interview.
I'm afraid that when I wake up tomorrow the status will go back to Ready to be scheduled and I will be heartbroken. I will actually believe that it is real when/if I receive the notice with date of interview. Although what scares me is reading on the message boards that people's interview was cancelled few days after scheduling them or even getting to the interview only to find out their case file is still at NBC or some other office.C9 - FO - Montgomery, AL

For all we know, interview scheduled means an Immigration services officer chose your file from the “pick list” to be scheduled.
If it gets cancelled, that’s life. Ours was and we are still alive. You have your combo card. So take a deep breath and enjoy the weekend.
