      I have a question. To check EAD timeline, do we need to check Chicago office processing time or our local office processing time? Btw it's a marriage based application.

      • @deniz it's based on your local field office processing time

          The processing times tool is only being tested on 4 pilot forms: Those are:
          Form N-400, Application for Naturalization;
          Form I-90, Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card;
          Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status; and
          Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence.

          All other forms are non-pilot forms. For I-765, they will continue to use the same calculation they've always used. Right now, they're saying between 2 to 5 months. https://www.uscis.gov/news/news-rele...ocessing-times They should just abolish EAD?AP altogether and go straight to interviews. Reallocate all that manpower and resources and pre-adjudicate cases for the field offices.

My case is marriage-based we filed beginning of March but I received and email yesterday saying my employment-based interview has been scheduled and they will mail me the notice with the date.
            Here is my timeline:

            PD: 03/05/18
            Biometrics done: 04/05/18
            Interview scheduled email: 04/16/18

            It?s happening way too fast. I just want to know anyone has a similar story and had actually got the interview notice with the date. It?s only been 40 days since we filed.

            Thanks. Best luck to you all.
            Hi, similar case to mine.

            they received my application on March 2nd, and I had my biometrics done on 4/4/2018.

            Yesterday, 4/17/2018, I got an email saying they are scheduling the interview as well.
            Is it the same thing as yours? Do you get the interview date already? I have not get any follow up since then.

                After biometric the following step (and final theoretically) is to have the interview. The fact that you are ready to be schedule for an interview is great, means everything went smooth so far but tha doesn't mean your interview will be scheduled that soon. It depends on your office, it might take another 2 to 5 or more months minimum. Some cases (Cleveland, NC etc) even sooner.

                    Got it, so a Priority date means something good, rather than bad. LOL.
