Yes, this is the norm. Don't expect an update. You might not get any more news until your interview notice, and that could be a long way off. Welcome to being in the dark.

My case status has been stuck on fingerprint in review since April 17th 2018 so you're not alone!

I have a question;- How did you request for an expedite I131? What prove did you turn in/provide? Your response would be helpful.

        Thanks
You need to call the USCIS Customer Support Centre or make an Infopass appointment. USCIS will then likely request evidence from you justifying why your request should be expidited over the thousands in front of you in the que.

            • Hello everyone,

I got this message from USCIS website yesterday " Notice Was Returned To USCIS Because The Post Office Could Not Deliver It
On May 15, 2018, the Post Office returned a notice we sent you for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC18 YYYY ZZZ, because they could not deliver it. This could have a serious effect on your case. Please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice immediately. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

I filed with a lawyer and I called her about that message from USCIS and she told me that she will take care of it! and she raised an SR for address change and a copy of the notice. " USCIS: We'll review and process your request. expect a reply by June, 6th"

I'm really worried that will delay my case even more since I'm filing from Minnesota.

              Here is my Timeline

                    • I haven?t had any updates since they got my RFE on 4/23/2018. I?m getting worried. Went to my biometrics and the status didn?t change either. Completed my biometrics on 04/18/2018.

does anyone here know which number to call to follow up on my case?

Your case is still within the posted timescales. Cases are not generally updated until you get your EAD/AP if you applied for it (this is taking 3-6months). Or your case is ready to be scheduled/is scheduled. Depending on your location, interview can be anything from 4 -24 months.

If you call now then they won't be able to do anything and will tell you to wait.

Then there are other factors such as which type of I series you filed, your type of filing (AOS from K-1,B-2,etc.), during your cycle regarding your PD if your case is handled or not (you can refer to UScitizenfilingforspouse?s post regarding how cases are processed in each cycle such as 1/3 is processed,...) and unfortunately not much to do other than wait and track the hints of process cycles within the case tracker phone app that are around the time of your PD.
                            All the best.
