      • Interview was today

        So my interview was today in Hartford CT. It was 1hour and 30 mins and it was very tense bc I?ve been out of status for 15 years, that was such a big deal for them and they didn?t say whether it was approved or not so i?m Just hoping for the best. The decision should come in the mail in the next couple weeks.

        It?s been amazing and fast. My case is marriage based, i?ve Been married since October/17 but I only applied in March, did the biometrics in April and for my surprise got my interview scheduled for May. I can?t believe that it?s been less than 2 months and I?ve got this far(this is something i?ve been praying for over 10years and I know the lord is working in my favor, he is the lawyer of the lawyers&#127996.

        My timeline

        PD:03/05/18
        Biometrics done:04/05/18
        Interview scheduled for May/22/2018

        Never received EAD/AP or any notification about it.

                    Correct!!! As you may read in other posts, USCIS needs to see that between you and your spouse there has been a continuous relationship after the marriage. This means:
                    -you've been texting each other;
                    -you've been travelling together;
                    -you're been sharing bank accounts, addresses, bills etc.

                    Let's face it: If I were american too, I would never put both our names in the bills etc so it's more for a good purpose. I will be more than glad to collects documents, but still I'll b nervous at the interview.

                      My sister gave me an amazing advice for the interview. She said make sure you do not create a case when there is no case in reality. Meaning be truthful and if you don't remember/know something just say it. At the end it takes time to learn everything about your husband and depends on the relationship some are more distant some are extremely close, noone can judge this. Also she said see the interview as you are telling someone how you met with your husband, basically having a conversation about your special story rather than seeing it someone is questioning your marriage. All will be good at the end. Sometimes takes time but always come to the best solution for everyone.
