        My priority date is March 02nd 2018, I just checked the USCIS processing times online and it says 2.5 to 5 months.

        However, I cannot submit a inquiry online and over the phone, a representative informed me that the std processing times is actually 6.5 months.
        Is that correct?

        Also, I currently have an H1B Visa and I am wondering if that is why the EAD is taking longer?
        Anyone with H1B visa to share experience?
        I don't know what else to do.

        Yes, that's right - and they won't tell you anything if you inquire before it has been 6.5 months (only something like "your case is still within processing times")

        I have been waiting for 10 months for EAD (I'm in Indianapolis). And nothing. I was on F1 visa which allows to work part time, and I'm also thinking that people who can work already have sort of low priority. But it is just my speculation, nothing else.

              Congrats!!! We got the notification yesterday! This means they will soon be done with March filers and move on to April 2018. What's interesting though - they just updated the processing times for all field offices and the NBC. EAD at NBC is now 5 to 7 months - (7 months is 130% of the processing time). Case inquiry date 01-15-18

                  Now it?s 134 days. USCIS websites shows that they are processing EAD for people who applied on January 26th but I hope they start processing March cases.
                  The Case inquiry date is not the same as the priority date of the cases they are currently processing. Right now the processing time is 5 to 7 months. The upper limit - 7 months is 130% of the processing time.
                  As of today, the case inquiry date is 01-15-18. There are 199 days between 01-15-18 and 08-01-18 (including today). That means the following:

                  199 days ----> 130%
                  X days ----> 100%

                  X days = [(199 days)(100%)]/(130%) = 153 days

                  153 days from today would be 03-02-18. Now let's go back to the processing time.
                  Lower limit= 5 months = 153 days *funny right?
                  Upper limit= 7 months

                  So we know that the upper limit is 130% of the lower limit of 5 months. Therefore you can infer that 100% EAD/AP applications from 03-02-18 have been processed as of today. Our PD is 03-16-18 and we got the "New card is being produced" notification yesterday.

                  I think yours should be happening soon. All the best,

                    This is so frustrating, everything keeps moving back.
                    Inquiry date for AP is back to Jan.15. Then
                    SF office is back to September from December just the other day.
                    This waiting game sucks.
                    Hope I get my work permit soon though so I can start applying for legit jobs.

                      They really need to come up with a better system. I think your combo card should be processed soon. Have you taken a look at this casetracker? It's amazing http://www.mycasetracker.org/index.php?dest=home

                          You're welcome! I believe that understanding what happens backstage helps get through the grinding wait.

                          I noticed the same in the data. However, here's probably why it does not line up with the calculation I just did. A tier 2 told me they do try to work on cases that are not likely to get an interview soon. In other words, they are probably sorting through jurisdictions. The system may not do it for them which makes it rather a manual process.

                          Have you looked up receipts on the case tracker app? Look at this receipt MSC1890690002 I-765 Case Closed Benefit Received By Other Means July 10, 2018. This case is probably one of those green card in 90 days cases that went straight to interviews. (I did not spend time corroborating or looking up sister receipts for that I-765 example. I won't. We all have better things to do)/

                          So if you were to link the I-765 information to the jurisdiction, the data would likely be more reflective of the processing times. In an ideal world, people in jurisdictions that process green cards in 6 months or less should not have the option to submit applications for EAD/AP. Sounds a little radical but it would really lower the workload for all service centers and the NBC.

                            Hang in there.
                            It?s same as the app I have. Both says Case was recieved and case is ready to be scheduled for interview. Well I?m going to wait patiently until the end of September. Hopefully I get mine before that. I?ll keep you updated.
                            Thanks for giving everybody here a piece of mind. Lol

                              Not all EADs come from the NBC. Some c9 are processed elsewhere too. Those are usually k-1 AOS petitions. Then you have asylum EADs, employment based EADs etc.

                              Your PD is 03-02-18. We just got the "New Card is being produced" notification yesterday. I am sure yours has to be coming up soon.

                                Congrats, everyone! Seems like 7/31 was a big approval day for EADs. Got the card is getting produced alert as well, and just received a ?we mailed your card? email. Was anyone else anxiously waiting for their EAD because their current permit was expiring soon? Mine came down to the wire ?1 week left on the old one!

                                New question: For those with a pending I-130, is your status also ?we received your case? since the beginning? The I-485 has had movement, but not I-130.
