March 2018 filers: let's share our experience!!

Hello all,

I found the posts on this site quite useful, so decided to share my own green card experience in the hope that it will help others

Feb 28th 2018: Mailed AOS packet (with the medical evaluation, I-765, I-131)
March 5th 2018: USCIS - California Service Center received my AOS application.
April 28th 2018: Received biometrics appointment notice, with an appointment date of 5/14/2018
May 9th 2018: Received my EAD card with travel permit -- this was surprisingly sent before the my biometrics appointment. On my EAD card, it says "Fingerprints not available".
July 11th 2018: Greencard approved
August 3rd 2018: Received my Greencard in the mail.

I did not have an interview. I was also abroad from June 21st 2018 to July 15th 2018 and I had no trouble entering the US on my EAD card. My Greencard was approved before my return, but I wasn't aware of that when I flew back.

Is your last name "Trump"? just kidding, Many Congratulations on that, wish everyone have the same timeline as yours.

Was this an employment based AOS petition? No fingerprints? It's a first. Never seen that.

My PD is March02, its now 159days nothing. I saw March 29 being approved.

Yeah we have the same PD. Problem is I got an RFE a month ago, and they received my response on 7/16. God knows how long they will delay my case, I'm starting to lose hope... You should be getting your EAD/AP soon if you haven't got an RFE, good luck to both of us!

Little update

Just checked online, my Card(ead) is being produced. No email and no text.
So happy after 5 long months of wait!!

EB1A - I140 Approved March, waiting for EAD/AP since then

EB1-A India, I 140 Approved in March.
1485, 765, 130- applied on 28 March.
Concern: Have not received EAD or AP till now (Will be 5 months at end of Aug)

I am wondering if anyone else has similar experience.
And can anyone else make sense of this? Thanks !

Checked the DHS website and it said the EAD card is in production!!!

Checked the uscis website and there's no mention of it. I hope we're not being punked

Hi Shae! Can I check with you is there any update on your case after your bio done on 04/27 ? or nothing until 07/06 you got an updated 'ready to interview' ? Thanks. I got nothing updated since bio done in 2wks so really worry by now

Your process just started, trust me you will need lot of patience, and I mean a lot of it, lot of people did not get any status update after Biometrics, but they did get their EAD. As long as your getting to those milestones, status update does not matter.
