We finally got the interview scheduled for this October 12th, it's a mixed feeling yet we're so happy that that day finally came. Our field is Houston, TX and it's like 6 months since our priority day (03/28/2018) so it's really earlier than expected to us. However, I am myself a little bit nervous since we just been married for 7 months, we haven't had many proofs/evidence like other couples, of course I know we're real so we have nothing to scare but I'm kinda super nervous under pressure lol. I was worried if I missed any documents, how I should prepare/organize for all the paperworks and documents, do I need to practice questions or anything with my wife, etc, seriously I need tips/advice from everyone here that just done with the interviews, especially from same-sex married couples, me and my wife like terrified about the news but we're ready for it, lol. And we hope everything will go smooth to everyone here.

Remember that your relationship has already been vetted by the US Embassy where the k-1 visa was approved. The last condition of the deal was for you to marry your fiance within 90 days of arrival in the US, and start building a life together. Well, you have done that. So really, all you have to do is show that you two are starting to get established.
Here is the link to this thread. https://www.immihelp.com/forum/showt...580#post581580 Not everything will apply to your case, but there are some useful ideas to stage and organize your evidence - in case you don't quite know where to start OR what constitutes CONCRETE evidence of bona fide marriage.
The link should take you to the most recent post. I would focus on #1 - Thread by 4EVER. I would carbon copy the format and structure of that Table of Contents.
To all couples, whether adjusting from k-1 or other visas, I always recommend:
1. An advance health care directive
2. Financial power of attorney
3. Affidavit of residence IF you do not have a joint lease, or a joint mortgage.
I recommend to get all 3 notarized. You can read more about them on the thread.
I hope you find value in this entry and the thread. Remember that every case is unique. It's important to showcase the longevity of your relationship. The evidence that you presented at the US Embassy is probably still at the Embassy. So if there is anything that you would like to present that shows how long you've known each other, that's great. Once you look at 4EVER's table of contents, you will she she wrote a very brief timeline. You can include one, too.
Know that your fiance does not have to wait for the EAD to get the Social Security Card. She is/was eligible to get it and simply has to show her k-1 visa at the Social Security Administration.
All the best,
USCFFSLast edited by UScitizenFilingforspouse; 09-22-2018, 03:44 AM.

Status for I-765 since June 25th has been "Fingerprint review was completed."
On a related note, on Sept 5th RFIE was sent to me regarding I-485 and to this day I haven't received it. Called USCIS, got told have to wait 30 days since they sent it to do anything.
My local office is Montgomery, Al and I cannot find anyone who is waiting for an interview or already passed the interview at this location.

I'm really in my zen space, checking the processing time everyday and waiting!
I am worried that there is an issue. When I talked to Tier 1 officer regarding RFIE for 485 and asked for 765, he kept saying my PD 04/03. I kept telling him it is 03/23 - on Processing page they even show a picture where you should check it on I-797 and there id 03/23.
I am registered on both sites to track my cases - however the one with less info shows that they received my case on 03/23.
But the other one which provides more info, like the date when the Fingerprints were reviewed shows that they received my case 04/03! Which is probably what the Tier 1 officer was reading from.
Now I am worried that they made mistake and I will be screwed either way."
I don't know how you can be in your zen place Afrolinda I know that worrying won't help, but this waiting with no info is like torture.
I am really truly happy for everybody who received updated, EADs, interview dates and I just saw like three people in May 2018 thread who already received EAD or their card is being produced, while we are waiting for more than a month longer and there is nothing we can do.
Fingers crossed that this weekend is the last unhappy one!C9 - FO - Montgomery, AL
