Any advice coming back? Which line should we take?
Coming back with my husband, my brother and his wife to visit.
              Thank you!
I've travelled alone on EAD/AP to Manila last October, my husband however was at the CBP land entry from Canada to Washington state, where we were directed to a secondary immigration check point, they asked both of us to be present in the queue, they'll ask a couple of questions but nothing to worry about. Immigration Officer will finally explain about the departure card that they'll staple onto your passport. If you're entering CBP entry at the SFO international I've read somewhere in the forums that you should line up in those designated for US citizens together with your husband because your AP is attached to him. Your brother and his wife (if not US citizens) should line up in those designated for visitors. If your husband has Global Entry or NEXXUS, you should skip that because that will only let him through, leaving you to line up with your brother and his wife, where things could be tricky without your husband beside you to explain your AP with the immigration officer. You should still expect to go through a secondary immigration check as I described earlier.

Have a safe trip and enjoy your visit home.

Yes, I think it would be perfectly fine for your brother and his wife to go in their designated lines, and should approach immigration officer together when their turn comes. I would err on the side of caution though and remind them that they should avoid informing the immigration officer that they travelled into the US with you and your husband in the same flight. Let them make a general declaration that they're visiting you and your husband and keeping your husband's address and mobile/contact information handy if that information isnt yet clear in the inbound customs form.

                    Cheers :-)

I would use the US citizen line but do not tell the employee at the beginning of the line that you are traveling on AP.

I don't think you can do that. When I came back to the US with Advance Parole I still used the visitors line, and my US citizen husband went through the citizen's line. And later at the secondary inspection the officer told me that my husband could've come in the same visitor's line as me, he literally said "you can't go in the same line as him but he's a citizen so he can go in the same line as you"

That's funny because my husband (UK Citizen) always comes in the same line as me (US citizen) when we arrive back in the US. It just totally depends on the officer you deal with.

                            • March 2018 Filers - Has anyone filed for EAD/AP extension yet?

If any one in the thread has already filed for EAD/AP extension please confirm if you have either received (1) a Notice of Action (2) a Notice of Interview Date.
I am about to reach the 120 day mark before my EAD/AP date of expiration, and I plan to send an early renewal application on the 119th day mark.
There seems to be indications from others in the forum that an application to extend EAD/AP triggers an interview schedule being set.
Looking forward to read any response.
                              Thank you.

I have applied for EAD and AP extension for my husband. Last week we got the I-797s of both I-765 and I-131 stating that we have received your case. My husband's EAD is expiring in July 2019.
