    • Hi all, I filled on March 2018 for marriaged-based adjustment of status. On April 1st my case status changed to "interview scheduled" and it said they will mail me a letter with the information of the appointment. But I havent received the letter yet. I called customer service and tried to talk with a level 2 representative and the woman said she could not pass me to a level 2 representative, that i have to wait one month. But the interview is probably in one month! so it will be too late then. I also tried to get an info pass and they said the same. I cannot get it on line because my field office is not scheduling any more on line. How long should it take for the letter to arrive after the status changes on line?? anybody in Wisconsin who be in a similar situation? Thanks!

The officer was a nice lady. She had reviewed our file and I'm under the impression that she had made up her mind on the bona fide of our marriage before conducting the interview. All in all it was a pleasant experience.
We brought two binders of additional evidence. She kept some bank and credit card statements, utilities bills, joint health insurance, our taxes for 2018, boarding passes, landlord letter, a resizing receipt for my engagement ring with our address on it and some photos.
Questions asked to my husband (petitioner): date of birth, occupation, date of marriage, when did we move in together.
Questions asked to me (applicant): date of birth, occupation, if I was studying, how did we meet, when did we have our first date and where did we go, and when did he propose.
She asked us if our families approved of our marriage and if things are going well.
She explained us how to file to remove conditions and said I should expect the green card in 30 days but that I may get it sooner.

        Our timeline:
March 12, 2018: PD Newark NJ
January, 2019: original interview date. We rescheduled due to a planned trip overseas.
        March 19, 2019: Interview.
March 19, 1019: Card is being produced.
Hi Belu31, thanks for sharing this information! I was wondering, how long did it take for you to receive the letter with the information about the interview after your status changed on line (if you have an on line account)?? thanks!! My interview was scheduled last week but i havent received any letter.

Usually the interview date is around 5 weeks from the 'was scheduled' status change. The letter usually arrive around 1 week after the status change. This is from reading comments from others.

          • Hello, Fellow march filers!

It has been a long time that I haven't visited this website. I have just filed my EAD renewal and noticed that Houston office is all of sudden speeding up!! PD February is getting their interviews scheduled! My concern is that our interview will be scheduled right before our 2nd anniversary. Do you guys have any action plan for such possibility? I am thinking to submit my medical exam after the interview.. Do you think it's too risky?

I think the action plan for preparing to interview remains the same for everyone no matter how long you have been waiting. It is consistent advise in the threads that your evidence documentation should connect the dots for immigration officers. There are posts that indicate that when you get an interview by the time you have crossed two years of marriage you can expect to get a 10 year green card. About the medical exam, I think you should wait for immigration officer to ask for it, although I don't see any concern about preparing for a new one to be available because your initial submission will be over 2 years old by the time of the expected interview. Just my personal opinion and should not be taken as legal advise.

Seattle Filers - any one with March 2018 PDs already gotten an interview notice?

              Cheers,

              • Poof! This thread is soooo quiet.

Hello everyone, hope you had a great Easter weekend and this note finds you well and busy.
Would love to read from March 2018 PD aos applicants if you've got any word from immigration about your interview schedule? Any one got their EAD/AP renewals approved?
I have nothing from them since March 2019 (12 months from PD) except the NOAs for the EAD/AP renewal.
                This wait is really challenging.

                Cheers,

Looks like we're in for a long wait, if we don't hear from them in the next month or two, I guess we will be looking forward to an interview past our 2nd year anniversary which also sounds like a good prospect considering that it might qualify us for a 10-year GC without the conditions.

Hope you hear something though soon and keep the thread posted.

                    Best of luck.
