  • I-485 Interpreter & Preparer for Child under 14 Years Application

    Hi,

I am personally (no attorney involved) filing the Employment based I-485 Adjustment of status for myself & family with 2 children 7Yrs & 4 Yrs Old. Have 3 Questions in this context:

    1. Pg15, Part 10 - What is the correct option to be selected - 1.a or 1.b or 2 or both (1.b & 2) ?
    2. Pg15, Should I update my own details in Part 11 - Interpreter's information ?
    3. Pg16, Similarly, Should I update my own details in Part 12 - Person preparing the application ?

Both children can understand English, but that does mean that they really understand the context of I485 Applications and a GC process.

    Appreciate advice. Thank You

This question has been asked several times before and the consensus is you the parent select 1(a) and sign on their behalf. They are minors and as such can not be held responsible for what is in the form and cant be charged with perjury.
