Renewing Work Permit and Submitting I-131 (Pending I-485)

Hello,

I am hoping somebody has similar experience in this situation and can help. I am still awaiting an interview for my AOS case [married a US citizen] (Original PD date is Feb 6, 2017), and in the meantime my Work Permit is due to expire in May of this year. I am wanting to also fill out a form I-131 so I can go back to my home country and visit my family as I haven't seen them in years.

I guess my question is: Can I submit both of these forms together at the same time? And what additional supporting documents are required? From what I understand, I do not need to pay the fee since I am still waiting for my AOS (Pending I-485) to be completed, but am still confused since I never originally submitted an I-131 as I did expect the process to take this long.

Yes you can. Only additional document you need is copy of your i-485 receipt and copy of your EAD.

Don't forget to read through the required documents you have to submit. Page 13/19;of the I-765 instructions.

Does anyone know what I can do if I cannot find my I-485 receipt? Is there a way I can get a new receipt or use another document to show that I have a pending case?
