Waiting for I485 approval for 2 years and married to a US citizen

Hi everyone,
I have been waiting for my I485 approval (from employment sponsorship) for 2 years (had 2 fingerprints done cause each supposedly expires in 1 year), no interview schedules, and recently I got married to a US citizen. Should I keep waiting? or should I tell the INS that my spouse is a US citizen. please let me know your thoughts.

create new case as family based

You can still wait for your current employment-based case. Meanwhile, you can apply a whole new case for green card as family-based coz your spouse is US citizen. These two cases won't hurt each other. That's what I am doing now. Telling them your wife is US citizen won't put any help on your current case. Check out the form I-130 will help you start with your new case.
