I would suggest submitting an offer of employment if you have one. That will do the trick. Otherwise, you can always move to Cleveland, OH and get your green card in 4.5 months.

Do you know (or have a link) with steps I need to follow. I googled but not sure if I find accurate information.

      Thank you.

I believe I do. Again, this is all on the good Samaritan law and not legal advice. Here's the link. https://www.uscis.gov/policymanual/H...Chapter12.html

Go to section C. Of the options they give you, I would do two of them and not just one. I would call the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) and have them forward the expedite service request and I would also get an InfoPass appointment and bring the letter of employment to the appointment and whatever else you may have that shows the offer of employment is real. If at any point anyone says no to you, you then ask someone else and see if that person ALSO gives you a no. Keep asking until you get a yes.

If Infopass appointment slots are hard to book at your field office, remember you can go to any field office. You can also use two google extensions. Super auto refresh and visual ping. if you google "How to get an appointment on infopass", the 4th result will be a thread from vis@j0urn3y that explains how to use those two extensions.

        All the best.

I would say a current date would have more power. When I did my AOS 20 years ago, I was my own sponsor as my US citizen spouse was not employed. I was not employed at the time just yet. I had an offer of employment that stated they needed me to start right away, how much I would make per year and I think it stated I would be expected to work at least 3 years. (This was a long time ago). Long story short, with this letter, I was able to be my own sponsor and also got the EAD expedited. It all happened fast.

Let the forum know how it all goes. Best of luck!

Here's another thought. The job does not have to be anything fancy or your dream job. A job is a job. It does not matter if it's Target, Walmart or the local grocery store, or gym. The criteria to request for expedited processing is the same for all human beings here - to have a job offer. Your best bet is to apply for jobs. I told my spouse today who is in a specialized engineering field. Getting a job in that field will take months.Get hired and get and offer in writing - an email will do.

Once you get that, tell them you need a week to think about it which is customary. Then call the national customer service number and request for your EAD to be expedited. Then get an InfoPass appointment and present the letter there. You might be able to walk out of there with a document that allows you to work. Even if the offer is ultimately rescinded or even if you don't even want the job, it doesn't matter. Just get a job. It does not need to be your dream job or a fancy job. You need a job offer to get the EAD expedited.

It is OK to not have a SSN right away. All they can ask you by law is "Will you now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status?". You will answer "no". That's the end of that. You need not say anything else. For them to be able to legally ask to see your EAD or any other document, you need to be hired first. Basically, you bring it in the first day of work. They fill out the I-9. It's illegal to ask an applicant to show proof of employment authorization before then. If they tell you, "we e-verify", you say "that's great". They may not e-verify you before hiring you. Just get any job, even if you don't want the job.

                Best of luck!

Thank you for following up. Yes, I also have a respect for all the jobs, regardless the title. In my case I have a very good job offer and my 140 was approved on as extraordinary ability.

You are welcome. To be clear, I meant no disrespect and did not realize you had a very good job offer and a I-140 approved on extraordinary ability. . It's hard to answer questions that do not provide much background information. Thus, I have to operate under the assumption that maybe the individual does not know how the hiring process works in the US. While I am not familiar with employment based adjustment of status, I believe expediting the EAD is the same across the board. Anyway, I hope you found something of value in the insight I shared with you and above all, best of luck!
