    For I-485 via El Paso TX:

    Employment-based adjustment applications
    11.5 Months to 23 Months
    This means they are processing PDs between 11.5 and 23 months old (roughly late May 2016 to mid April 2017)
    PD has to be older than May 23, 2016 (23 Months) to be outside normal processing.

    Family-based adjustment applications
    14.5 Months to 28 Months
    This means they are processing PDs between 14.5 and 28 months old (roughly late December 2015 to mid Jan 2017)
    PD has to be older than December 20, 2015 (28 Months) to be outside normal processing.

    Keep track of it here:
    This site provides applicants the ability to see an estimate of the time to completion from submission of USCIS forms based on its adjudication location and subtype.

      E3toGC,

      So the information posted on website (https://www.immihelp.com/processing-...ing-times.html), is incorrect?

        Until about a week ago, USCIS was publishing the information in the format you see at the link you provided (simply republished by immihelp).
        USCIS now publish it the way you see it at https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/#mainContent

        Processing times for many offices seem to have jumped up in the change over.
        It's also updating the enquiry date daily now.
        Just guessing, and I know this sounds too good to be true, but both could be explained if the reporting jumped from 3-month old data once a month to real-time or even end-of-day data.

          It's no longer current for the 4 pilot forms they're using this new format on:
          Form N-400, Application for Naturalization;
          Form I-90, Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card;
          Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status; and
          Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence.

            PDs are somewhat irrelevant now. They're giving you a time frame and that provides you with a lot more information than telling you that as of January 31st, El Paso, TX field office was processing cases from 04/14/17. (It is now the slowest one in the country, by the way).
            Here's what the 14.5 months to 28 months time range means. The lower limit - 14.5 months- is how long it takes the field office to process 50% of the cases. The upper limit - 28 months- is how long it takes the office to process 93% of the cases. So your typical case is one that takes 14.5 months. That's a case without any hiccups.

            The previous way of reporting processing times would not provide you with any sense of how long cases are taking to process. All you had was a date but no information on what the typical case takes. It takes a bit to get used to but it's actually way better for them to do it this way.

              I found your post on another thread, linking to https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/more-info which was great for understanding how to read the new format for reported processing times, so I came back to correct what I'd posted here, but you've pretty much taken care of it.
