  • Pending Interview for January 2018 Filers?

So I called customer service after I have been getting error messages for my online i485 status for the past week. I was transfered to a level 2 officer(whatever that means) and she took my information and said that cases in ATL would take 9-22 months for an interview and EAD would take 6 months the most. I told her that I was already aware of that information and I ddidn't call for that! I told her of the error message on my case status online and she said the system is being updated right now and a list of names have been transfered to an interview list and mine is on it. My question is, do these customer service people really give accurate information? Are they reliable?

I would take that and run with it. It sounds to me like that level 2 officer gave you a treat. The system IS being updated. If you try to check processing times, you'll see you get nothing but an error message. USCIS' system is probably as archaic as the IRS' and I'm dealing with them right now and I know that when an update is going on, certain features are off limits but you can still look up or locate where files are. So probably out of boredom, the level 2 officer just gave you the heads up.
Have you tried setting up an account on https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ and https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/displayLogon.do

I just checked both sites and I have access to all 4 cases on both. No error messages. Filed 3/16/17 which for sure means my case is not being fiddled with. So Kaylip, I'd believe that level 2 officer. It sounds like your case is being moved like she said. Call again and see if you get a different answer. LOL. No, don't. They probably log comments, etc.

              Hi.

Same here! Just wait for more days. 2 weeks max. It might be true!

              Filed 130,131,765, 485 on jan 28th
              Pd jan 29th
              Receipts on feb 6th
              Biometrics letter 16th
              Biometric schedule 28th

So far, same status BUT as of 28th March my i485 is now ?user defined error?. Cant pull up my case... some threads says, that with this error and as per thr call with uscis, L2 officer said that we should be expecting a mail or progress in the next coming days - maybe in 2 weeks time.
