  • Why my on-line case was switched to " At this time USCIS cannot provide you with info

My EB-2 case was indicated on line "as ready for employment based interview" since beginning of March 2018. Now this message was disappeared and replaced by "At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case.". No next steps. Please advise.
    RD (I-485) - 09/20/2017
    Transfer to NBC - 02/28/2018
Ready to be scheduled for interview - 03/09/2018
USCIS cannot provide you with info - since 03/23/2018 with induction that last time they took my case was 03/20/2018

    Same with me.

I've read other forums where people called the number and were told it was a "system glitch". I have not called myself but I will tomorrow.

Additionally the field office nearest me, is always empty... no people, and yet they always have ZERO appointments available.
The LEGAL immigration system went from slow, to FULL STOP, since Trump was elected. Prior to his election I have friends who got through the entire process in 6 months filing the same adjustment of status as I am for my wife. We have been waiting over a year and half, and our "waiting for interview" has been in that status for 7 of those months! I'm about at my wits end with this system and I'm considering contacting the ACLU to file a class action lawsuit against Trump for purposefully slowing the administration of a government function which is in fact ILLEGAL according to the Administrative processes act and due process rights of every citizen to have access to government function in a timely manner.

Your file/case was probably moved to the queue where interviews are scheduled. Their system is ancient. It takes time. There is a difference between "Case is ready for interview" and "we are scheduling your interview". Usually, you get this status update first "Case is ready for interview". This means your case has been deemed complete in all ways - all forms are present and accurately filled out. Background checks are complete (most of the time). +/- I-693 Medical. The NBC ischedules AOS interviews for all field offices. Only so many interviews can be scheduled at a time. So once the queue clears, then more cases are moved into it. And that's when you get the "we are scheduling you interview". OR you may just get an error message for a good 3 weeks.

Have you signed up for accounts https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ and https://egov.uscis.gov

There is also a case tracker app that is very useful. The updates on the app are more complete. You want to sign up for different platforms because updates are not consistent across all 3 platforms. Thus, hopefully, you'll catch an update on one of the 3. Even if you have enabled notifications on all platforms, it's a good idea to check each account. I am supposed to get text messages but never have.

My best non-legal advice to you is to call the National Customer Service line and ask to be transferred to a level 2 officer. Explain that your account went from "Ready to be scheduled for interview - 03/09/2018" to "USCIS cannot provide you with info - since 03/23/2018". You're calling because you're concerned a notice may have been mailed out and you have not received anything. They will tell you if one has been mailed out. They will also tell you if you have an interview date already.

Level 2 officers have access to all of that. The first line of reps are contractors. Though helpful, they pretty much have access to what we see on our screens at home.

Hope it all works out. All the best.
