Transfer from L1A of current employer to GC EAD of a new employer

Hi,

Looking for some advice here. I am currently working for a employer on L1a visa. In parallel i have filed for AOS with a different employer under EB2 category. Since i had a priority date from 2000 for an earlier green card process, my pridority date is current to file for AOS. I am expecting EAD from AOS process in next 3-4 months. I am planning to then quit current employer and shift to new employer based on EAD. I am assuming this is perfectly fine to do but wanted to take a quick check from this forum.
