Why do some people seem to receive an email telling "We reviewed your biometrics and are still processing your case" and some don't ?

My case status is stuck to "Case was received" (I130 and I765) or "Fingerprint fee was received" (I485)

    My timeline :

    Marriage based AOS - I-130, I-485, I-765, I-864, now 48 days in the process.

    04/04/18: Priority Date
04/19/18: Email & text notifications saying cases received
    04/20/18: Checks cashed
04/25/18: NOA rec'd by mail for 3 forms
    04/27/18: Biometrics appointment letter received
    05/05/18: Biometrics complete
05/12/18: RFIE notice received (regarding I-485) & sent back on May 14th
05/17/18: RFIE received by NSC according to usps tracking
I'm in the same position as you. Some people don't get every update. After my biometrics appt my case didn't update till i received my RFIE. I called USCIS and apparently they have 60 days from when the RFIE was received to update you. Not sure if I believe him or not. I'm just trying to wait it out and see if i get any sort of update. I've heard some people say an RFIE restarts your priority date and others who say it doesn't. At this point, there doesn't seem to be a clear trend. It would be nice if our status jumped to 'Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview'.

Your field office is where you do your interview. The fingerprints are done at a different location. In my case, I live in Austin, tx and completed my fingerprints at the government office located about 20 min from my place. My field office is San Antonio which is about a 90 min drive for me- that's where my interview will be. Hope this helps.

There's no status update when the letter is sent. Have you received it yet? If not, it should be any day now.

Biometrics passed - no update on the site

Hi guys, just worried that I passed my biometrics on 5/23/18 and still not have any updates on the website. I received courtesy letter regarding medical same day as my fingerprints done via mail, so they sent it prior the biometrics received. Does anyone have the same? I mean no update on the website after fingerprints done? Should I call them? Or this is OK? Really scary they not transferred my fingerprints. Any thoughts?

I had to wait 3 weeks after Biometrics for both forms to update to ?fingerprints received and case will be processed. You are good. Have patience.
