Multiple middle names in passport/GC. Birth certificate only has first name.
Hello,
My father's name is in the format [Village Name] [First Name] [Last Name].
Thanks to an overenthusiastic employee at my school, my school leaving certificate has both my father's village name and his first name as my 2 middle names. Because of this, my passport has my name as [First Name] [Father's Village Name] [Father's First Name] [Last Name].
My birth certificate has my first name only. It has my father's First Name and Last Name and my mother's First Name only.
Questions:
1. Is missing my last name in the birth certificate going to be a problem?
2. Is missing my 2 middle names in the birth certificate going to be a problem?
Please advise how should I prepare for the purpose of I-485 filing? Are these my options below? Which one is the best?
1. Use current birth certificate + affidavit from my father? (My mother is no more).
2. OR Try for new birth certificate which has my First Name & Last Name. Will affidavit still be required in this case?
3. OR Try for new birth certificate which has my First Name & 2 Middle Names & Last Name exactly as passport. Will affidavit still be required in this case?
