January filers processing status......

Gonna share our experience marriage based adjustment of status our papers process smoothly we didn't have any hardship encounter thank God. Our timeline:

January 18- papers send through USPS
January 22- delivered
January 29- cash out our payment
February 03- Got our NOA
February 05- i call them to changed my last name into my husband last name since i didnt know that i could use my husband last name on application just by using the marriage license proved that we are married.
February 08- notice for Biometrics arrived
Febuary 23- biometrics done i think it only took 5 minutes and the lady she's very nice.
March 22- Recieved a notice for our interview thank God
April 24- interview done

i was so nervous on the way to the immigration office my husband keep saying its gonna be fine he's making me calm. we wait for about 30 minutes before they called us and people there was very nice. So now the interviewer call us and yeah i was so nervous but when he start asking us question first all about my husband all the basic question where we meet,wedding, proposal,name, birthdate, work , name of parent etc. we able to answer all of it. at the end of interview i think it took about 40 minutes he said he gonna review our papers and we wait for 30 days for the decision. when i ask what happen to my EAD because i didn't get it yet he just said i don't need my EAD if i got my greencard. so we are hoping thats a positive outcome. Now we start waiting any mail came up cross finger positive one.

Thank u so much for sharing. My package was sent the same date as yours but my interview is May 31st. Quick question though; If those were the questions how come it took 40 minutes?? Also, what additional evidence did u take?

He ask me question about my 1-485 those yes or no he read most of it which that's a little bit a lot. and we stayed a little bit for just a normal conversation while he's doing some of the papers.

when he ask more about document we give him our tax return filed 2017, latest pay stub,bank statement, all the insurance we have dental,car,health, life insurance. He didn't even look for our picture.

Just recieve a call from IO yesterday, since when he ask me about my full name I said my unmarried name which that was on our application we didn?t changed it because I don?t have any ID shows on my married name so when we got our first reciept I call them right away make a request to changed my last name into my married name and couple of months the request approved. So I forgot to clarify that to IO but he called make it sure they put the right name he said ?card? make further review before they make decision. So hope that a positive

I am sure the ISO realizes that getting a call from USCIS out of nowhere must be disorienting, and that's why he dropped the hint. I personally would have asked what color the card of which he spoke was - I would expect he'll wrap it up soon. Congrats! Nicely done.
