  • To those that have completed the biometrics appointment for AOS...

When they sent out your biometric appointment letter, did they update the egov.uscis.gov site to reflect that it had been sent out on your case number? I am wondering as I am waiting (as per I797C receipt) for my appointment letter but haven't seen an update on my cases on the site for a while, so unsure if that means they haven't sent it out yet or if they just don't update that.

    Thanks.

Until a couple of weeks ago when they finally sent me an RFE (6 months) mine was saying "we have received your biometrics fee". I completed biometrics in November but it didnt change. I think the next update on the system is either RFE if you get one or case is transferred/scheduled for interview.

Hi, did they ever responded to your SR today? I have same issue and I'm not sure how long they take to do that. It shows in my time line that it hasn't been assigned yet. Although, I've told to wait for 15-30days for response.

          Tezza,

do you have USPS informed delivery? It's very useful. https://informeddelivery.usps.com/bo...o/start.action I got my I-797 NOAs on 04/02 and the biometrics appointment letter on 04/06 for 04/18(it was dated 04/02). Then, we did a walk-in on 04/12. Biometrics were cleared and reviewed 04/13.
If it has already been 10 days since you mailed your AOS package, you may call ask for your receipt numbers. Alternatively, you can chat with Emma and she will get a Virtual Agent for you.

I definitely recommend doing the biometrics walk-in. I believe appointments are on the hour. You will see people starting to rush in 10 to 15 minutes before the hour. Just join them. There should not be a guard at the door. It's a regular building. The you will line up to check in with a front desk clerk. He/she looks at the Appointment letter - mostly at your name- and asks for your ID. Our lady did not care about my spouse showing up 6 days early.

It's worth it. Our case reached the "Case ready to be scheduled for interview" in 39 days. Here is the other site https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ There is an app that is particularly useful. USCIS Case Tracker. It even allows you search for up to 500 consecutive receipt numbers, and get a sense of how other cases are making progress or not.

          All the best.

The SR is supposed to be responded by May 4th & it's for the i765. However, when I called customer care & spoke to a level 2 officer for my i485 she said there's no updates to i765 right but my interview letter was mailed so I'm just looking forward for the interview right now.

Thank you, best wishes on your interview, mine (SR) is supposed to be April 5th. I was wondering if calling customer service and request to speak with L2 office will help or just turn to another pile of waiting tasks.
Do they record or give out reference number if calling just for follow up or questions?

Sometimes SR's don't help but it's still worth a shot but if you're a January or December filer without RFE's I think you probably have interviews coming up. Most lawyers advise infopasses to be more effective than SR's though.
