I didn't have anyone to tell me what I needed to do.

Tone gets lost in forums. You can choose to focus on my delivery and not on the message. Our brains and experiences and our own bias pepper what we hear. Communication is tricky like that. I am reassuring you, though, that I am not bashing anyone. I don't come here expecting everyone to agree with me. Truth is all I am doing is voicing really loud what the instructions state and a little wisdom from my own mistakes.

My aim here is to empower everyone. My posts are proof of that. I am direct. That is true. Again, you can choose to focus on what you perceived as negative but clearly, if you set all that noise aside, you'll agree with helpmylife and katya7. For years, attorneys have perpetuated the misconception that you are not required to submit all evidence with your I-130 or I-130/I-485. People still argue even after reading the I-130 instructions, page 3/7. See below. Now we know that is not true.

Sugarcoating is overrated. If someone does not have enough evidence, or if it sounds like they're just going to submit a pile a disjointed documents that mean nothing to the ISO without a well crafted table of contents, you are doing them a disservice by not letting them know that. Most people do that. Most people let their friend leave the house wearing something they shouldn't be wearing. I am not that friend. If asked, I will share.

Here are some screenshots . Again, congratulations on your green card. You did everything right. Aren't you glad you weren't misinformed by information found on threads like these?

Take a moment to think about that. It could have been you.

Your right tone does get lost in these forms, i was not trying to come at you I was simply saying I apologize if I took it the wrong way or read into it. I was here to share my experience and nothing more. So I?ll be leaving, I hope everyone the best and I will continue to pray for you guys for a great outcome.

Cool. I'm glad we cleared it up then. I would be fantastic if you could share your table of contents. From your post, it's obvious you were uber prepared and had a very well organized file with you. If you do, please de-identify it. I opened it on google docs and took screenshots from there.

      All the best.

Question. i am thinking of bringing 2 binders. (1 with all the original copies of all the the documents and another one that has all the copies of what was submitted and new ones that i will provide).
Would that be a good idea? or would that be too overwhelming?
do i offer to present documents? or do i wait until im asked?
is it okay to whole punch it in a binder? or just stack them all together and hand one by one?

            appreciate a response.

            Thanks!

My spouse and I have a green card interview soon. When the application was filed, we also sent copies of supporting evidence like bank statements, marriage certificate, lease, etc to USCIS. Do we need to bring copies to the interview again or the immigration officer is going to have the copies of supporting evidence originally sent along with the application?

                Thank you.
I think you should maybe read the interview notice?
It clearly lists all kinds of things to bring. You have to make sure they are up to date.
For instance, you may have submitted your tax returns with your initial application a year ago. Well now you have new returns, they need to be included.
The letter includes a lot of information.
After that, start digging through UScitizenfilingforspouse his posts, there is more than enough information (perhaps too much).
I'm not going to say you don't need all that, but at least get what's listed on the interview notice and anything else you may think is important.

                as for aq090418 his/her questions:

1 copy of originals binder just in case and 1 with all the new evidence
The officer asked me at some point if i had new evidence, i handed the entire binder and she added it to the file.
We pointed out a few key things in there as I dont think she cared about a new lease or tax returns for that matter.
Key things were ultrasound of our new baby, a wedding album and some other things.
