  • Process taking way too long? If yes, what to do?

    Hi everyone,

I entered the US in September on a K-1 visa to get married to my US citizen spouse. Then shortly after filed an I-485 Adjustment of Status c(9) and I-765 EAD.

So I am very concerned by how long this process is taking and worry that I made a mistake in the forms. A while back I made a mistake on the forms and USCIS did not tell me, it took me three months to check myself and realise and fix it, after which they continued working on my case again. I have done a lot of research here on the forums, other sites, USCIS website but still worry about this. Anyway, here is a timeline.

    10/12/2017 - USCIS receives I-485/I-765 Applications - Eligibility Category c(9)
10/19/2017 - USCIS accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485
11/09/2017 - USCIS mailed a request for initial evidence for your Form I-485 (I made a mistake here by sending in wrong form - did not realize until early January when I sent in correct form)
    11/09/2017 - USCIS Biometrics Appointment
01/24/2017 - USCIS received your response to our Request for Evidence for your Form I-485

And since then my case has been absolutely silent. I submitted a case enquiry form two+ weeks ago on the USCIS website but have not heard back.

    Should I be concerned?

Edit: I guess my main questions are: Is the EAD taking too long? How can I check where my case is? I have submitted a case enquiry but the case has not been assigned yet to anyone.....
What can I do when the EAD takes longer than 90 days?

I can't comment specifically on K1 but im also adjusting on c9.

    PD is 10/23/17.
    Biometrics 11/29/17.
RFE 4/5/18. I received it around 4/15 and returned it next day. They resumed working case after response to RFE on 4/19.

Case sat on biometrics fee received.

I think its normal timescales. I'm not expecting an interview until at least the 12 month mark. Check the processing time for your local office. Mine is taking 11.5-17 months.
