Can I setup an LLC when I receive my EAD?

Hello everyone,

My EAD is on the way. Am I permitted to set up a limited liability company with the EAD?

I have a very small business idea in mind, and since I?ll be earning from it and will require staff I figure I have to register it as an LLC so as I can pay tax.

If not permitted to setup an LLC on an EAD will it be permitted when I receive my greencard?

Is there somewhere I can confirm officially that someone on an EAD can set up a business?

I called USCIS and they said it wasn't their department and to call the Department of Labor, I called them and they told me to call the small business association, they in turn told me to call USCIS! Full circle. Any help on this would be appreciated.

You already have your answer. ANYONE can set up a business regardless of their immigration status.
